BUT if i do this and spill the battery out , i will cost myself at LEAST £70 !? i might have to strap it to the ignition barrel just to make sure i can drive the car next week on honeymoon !

Yes, sounds like the fob in the first link is the one you need.

Dont worry, the fob and blade parts will come apart without revealing the battery. After I had the blade and fob separate on mine the fob then came apart to change the battery. Also removing the battery wont immediately lose your fob memory, not sure how long you get, but at least long enough to swap to a new battery.

If you can get it working I'd use it as is for now just in case something goes wrong and deal with it after your honeymoon :)

Cheers for your help today mate , i need to get to cornwall and the nursery next week etc so cant risk cracking it open before then , so my mate is goignt o come and attach the fob to the ignition barrel (he is a mechanic , apparently it can be done as a teporary measure) and when were back i can then buy one of those 770 blades and do it properly as i would still like an immobiliser , even if no one in their right mind would nick a 2 litre diesel v reg astra , would they !?!
