            Hi Folks
Thanks for all your help so far.
I used to think if I get acca qualified, then I could become a chartered accountant - but apparently the status is chartered certified accountant. Is that right?
Could someone please explain to me the difference between the two - in terms of what the job involves and the salary expected.
 Thank You.0

            Hi folks#
I am currently studying the AAT and hopefully going on to do the ACCA.
Can someone please tell me how much exemption I will get at ACCA level and roughly how long it will take me to complete the ACCA?
 Thank You.0

            Hi Folks
 I have 2 questions -
I live in the Midlands and looking for credit control jobs. I have registered with all the major recruitment agencies but still can't seem to get a job. Can someone please suggest what other things I can do in order to get the ideal job? Are you aware of any recruitment agencies that specifically deal with credit control jobs?
Also, there seems to be a fair few credit control jobs available around London. I was even thinking of applying there (I can always catch the train in the morning to London Euston). However, I don't want to have to catch another underground train or a bus to get to my place of work. So, can someone please tell me the names of the areas which are within walking distance from Euston.
 Thanks in advance.0

Have you put your CV (and made it public) on Monster, Reed and Total Jobs? I recently relocated to Berkshire and I did this prior to moving. I had no response from the roles I applied to with agencies via websites, but I did receive a lot of calls from agencies who saw my details on the recruitment websites. Some were pretty rubbish, but a few were great leads, and resulted in several interviews and two job offers.
I'm sorry I can't help you with the London question as I don't know London. There is a London Connections map available on the internet and you could use an internet map to find out how far an employer's location is from the station?0

            Hi Folks
I’ve recently started my AAT and looking to get a suitable job in accountancy (sales/purchase ledger clerk OR credit control etc). I have 10 years work experience of credit control.
I am also looking for someone who would be happy to use their free time in helping me get in to the accountancy/finance industry. I will pay for their free time, if necessaery. I think having a mentor is a great way to learn from somebody with more experience and can pass on their knowledge to me or tips on how to progress with the career. Seeing their career progression can act as an inspiration for me and give an idea of the success that I could have.
Is there is anyone out here who would be so kind please do PM me.
 Thanks in advance.0

There is plenty of information in the public domain about career routes and options. I'd suggest trying to figure out for yourself exactly what you want from a career and by when. Whats your ultimate career goal - finance director of a multinational? company accountant? Career paths are mostly generic - accounts admin type roles, assistant account, accountant, finance manager etc. If you know that I'm sure its easier for people to give you specific help on what you need to do to get there. The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0

Of course it depends upon how far you are wiling to walk but the nearest areas to Euston are:
 Pentonville
 Finsbury
 Clerkenwell
 Holborn
 Marylebone
 Bloomsbury
Check a map web site such as Streetmap.co.uk (http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=531500&y=181500&z=120&sv=london&st=3&tl=Map+of+London,+City+of+London.+) to see the locations and distances. If costs are putting you off using the tube or buses then be aware that there are two types of rail cards. One is a pure departure location to Euston rail ticket that allows travel on main line rail company trains. The second is a Travel card that includes tube and buses. As you travel through all the zones (1 to 6) on the train the tube/bus part covers all London. Of course it does cost more. Research your costs to see what is needed and if it is affordable.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
