Sorry Geek, you keep returning with questions that are easily found on the net and be found if you were actually serious about getting job in the industry. There is research required. I don't begrudge constantly replying, but it seems everyone does constantly all the work for you!!

Yes you can get certain level management jobs with AAT, but not in the outset. Or you would have to be very lucky. Even with ACCA or CIMA you don't automaticaly fall into management jobs, if you don't have some experience and years already. Depends on the overall industry as well though, size of company etc... one of my ex bosses was AAT, however 25 yrs AAT and her job was the head of the ledgers... large company so with 10 people under her, AAT was suitable and it was management job.

Generally qualifications are not a barrier in getting into management, although they do help.

There are plenty of senior people in finance in my company (Head of's & FD's) that are not formally qualified.

AAT could easily get you into a management role if you have the right background and experience.
