Ok, nice guy I like has just asked if I want kids or not. Am I right in thinking this is a bit weird.

I was going to PM you and tell you who he is and where you might have come across him but your inbox is full Buffy.

The kids question is a bit much at this stage. I guess it is important if it's something he feels strongly about, and I would maybe give him the benefit of the doubt in case it's just a misjudged conversational-type question, but I would be a little tiny bit on guard.

mmm. I suspect its cos he is a bit older then me, probably doesn't want them. I don't really know why I am talking to him, I like him tho. isn't it odd.

He might just feel it's one of those awkward questions you should just get out of the way straight away.

A guy asked me the same once. He said he realised it was a bit forward, but he really wanted children, and wanted to be honest and say he didn't want to have a relationship with someone if they were certain they didn't.

I didn't mind actually. I quite liked his openness.
