Other option (this is serious, I've seen it done, but do this at your own risk) is to hook an engine crane up to an injector.

That said, I've seen the front of a car suspended on one injector......

Honestly, I'm so tight its unbelievable. I read everything I could about removing them and read reports of people hanging the vehicle from an injector and it still wouldnt budge.
I've also seen voyagers advertised on ebay with snapped injectors. The tools about the same price as a replacement injector.
I paid £301 for the tool and waited 6 weeks for it to come from the states because a guy who had eventually fabricated something that worked said if he had to do it again, he'd buy the tool.

    Heavens.

This is why I'm still no convert to diesels... Dirty, smokey, oily, smelly, slow, awkward things and the modern ones have pretty poor reliability ().

Glad to hear it's finally budged!

    Andy
  • My timing belt is ok thankfully, I have 1 leaking injector & I want to replace the seals on the rest at the same time.
I have tried coca cola, removing the brackets & driving the car hoping they would get forced out under heat/compression, sliding hammer etc etc but they will not budge!!
So the tool is my last resort!!!
  • A huge thanks to Jim (scotsman4th) who came up to Perthshire today with his injector removal tool & my guy managed to remove all 4 injectors in no time using it.
He charged me a very resonable fee & I would recommend that anyone else in central Scotland area with the same problem should contact him as he said he would be more than happy to help others if required.
Once again thanks very much Jim you have saved me £££££'s & a lot of time.
    Regards
    Niki
  • Cheers Niki, I've decided to keep it and hire it out. It'll be on ebay tomorrow lol.
If you see this post, pass my number onto the place doing the work for you. I meant to leave it today (George had suggested I did but I forgot.)
Hope it solves whatever issues it had.
  • I will happily pass on your number to George @ Lamb & Gardiner.
He tested the injectors today & found 2 just required cleaned & new seals but the other 2 required replacment.
The best price he could get me after market injectors for was £270 each but I managed to get the from my local Chrysler dealer John R Weir in Perth for £180 each & they had them in stock so that was a result!!
The car is now sold & should be goin away tomorrow pm if it has all been completed.
    Thanks once again.
    Niki
