    Not express post then :)

Wondered how you got on. I've got a diesel lump in the workshop with one siezed injector that I must get onto one of these days.

You could probably get a fair wedge of the cost back on eBay if you stick it on a long auction with a decent reserve. Must be some independant specialist somewhere would be glad to take it off your hands?

It was posted on 26th (back order) and got to the Uk on the 5th. Rest of the time was customs clearance then it got to my local depot where to save a couple of days I went in to pick it up.
Selling it agains an option, we'll wait and see. Might just keep it a wee while incase a bargain voyager comes up with the timing belt gone.
If anyone in the UK searches for crd injector puller, the top 2 results are this thread and one on a chrysler forum. Perhaps offer an injector removal service lol.
  • I must admit i had my doubts that you'd get the injectors out even with the correct tool, i'm very pleased for you, having seen the results of even my superb MB indy trying to get Diesel Mercedes A class injectors out often ending up with scrap engines, i thought you might be up a gum tree.
Well done that man, i don't see resale being a problem either.

It still wasnt easy with 2 of them, the guy doing the work gave me a loan of a snap on extended ratchet (a bar around 2 ft long). That helped greatly.
When you see the tool and put it in place, without stating the obvious (but I will), you can tell it was built for the job.
  • Hello Guys.

A full range of injector removing tooling is available from hutson precision. They are professional engineers with experience in this area.

They offer rental of all there tools.

I had an injector stuck in our Chrysler Voyager many attempts had been made with no success but lots of expense (over £500). We live quite close to there workshop and asked if they would come and have a look. The guy was here 20 mins injector out no problem. Very happy to pay the £80 quid

I was over the moon but very annoyed i had not found them before spending all the money with other so called specialists.

    Hope this helps

    Francis.
  • Hi I am having the same problem with getting the injectors removed from my 2002 Grand Voyager 2.5 CRD manual.
The diesel specialist chap at Lamb & Gardiner who are doing the work have asked if I can source the correct tool to do the job as the universal pullers that they have are no use.
Would you be interested in hiring out your tool & if so how much would you want?
p.s I am based in Perth, Central Scotland.
    Regards
    Niki
  • Coca-Cola.

Normally frees stuck injectors, must be Coca Cola though, cheapo options will not work.

    LMAO. I tried that.
  • Other option (this is serious, I've seen it done, but do this at your own risk) is to hook an engine crane up to an injector.

That said, I've seen the front of a car suspended on one injector......

  • Nikid, has your timing belt went?
