other retailers vouchers at Tesco

I'm guessing that as the Farmfoods ones are more readily available, and more frequently available than other kinds of 'spend and save' vouchers a larger amount get used nationally than any other. Farmfoods are hardly a major competitor like Asda etc so Tesco probably feel they can stop accepting them without it having much of an affect on sales.

It's unfortunate, but it doesn't surprise me.

Well I never got them to accept Farm Food vouchers anyway, despite Head Office saying the contrary. Found I much prefer Asda or Morrisons anyway so that's where I'll shop in future.

Yeah the Tesco branch I was referring too has stopped taking the vouchers too. Not to worry though, I didn't get the chance to shop there anyway!

I used my farm foods vouchers last week but this week was firmly told by a very happy checkout manager that they will no longer be taking them.
She has never liked taking my vouchers anyway and did enjoy telling me they would no longer do it. I did think maybe she was just fobbing me off again as she has tried to do so before so thanks for this tread at least i now know she was telling the truth.

I too was told yesterday at a Tesco's (not my usual store ) that they have now stopped taking the farmfoods vouchers as of a few days ago. I didn't believe them and thought they where trying to fob me off so thanks, for this thread !

My local Tesco stated that they no longer accept FF vouchers ... so i rang their CS today & was told that YES they have stopped taking them cos they have no BAR CODES to read ... lets hope that FF realise the erosions suffered by Tesco by acceping these vouchers & that they start putting bar codes on their vchrs ASAP !

And in the meanwhile i'll shop at ALDI for as much as i can ... usually decent quality & MUCH cheaper ... but ALDI is 4 miles away instead of Tesco @ 700 yds away ! Thats why the FF vouchers were so useful!! they offset some of the Mega price increases & bogus offers that Tesco have been operating since the Credit Crunch started !!

The store which happily took them last week didn't take them today.

Cashier was extremely apologetic, explaining that there had been new guidance saying the couldn't take Farmfoods. I said, That's a shame, she said, It's crazy, I don't know why they've done it, you've spent £50 in tesco, not Farmfoods. Next time, I'll bet you'll go to farmfoods, so tesco will end up losing out. Head Office just don't know what goes on in the pockets of everyday shoppers relying on these coupons, do they?

I shall be returning to her checkout next time!

A friend told me today that she tried using her vouchers this week in bedford and was told they no longer take them as they were getting too many.
Had just got some too!:(

I was only shopping there because they took the FF voucher, now I will be shopping elsewhere.
