Anytime I have asked in my store they always say that because the Farmfoods ones don't have barcodes they can't accept them.

Can someone tell me how their Tesco puts the discount through the till?

I'm sure it would be a simple enough matter of inputting it as a miscellaneous coupon or discount, or at least I'd imagine that's what they do as I have never been near a till in my life! :D
  • Every time I go to a till and try to use a farmfoods voucher they always say they dont accept them.I tell the cashier that they do and they either ask the cashier next to them or they ring for help from the supervisor.I have always had them accepted and believe they go through the till as "non-scan".
  • Yes they have to scroll down & put them as Non scan after they have pressed their competitor spend button, I think.

I spent £75.00 at my local Tesco's and they accepted both a £5 & £2.50 Farmfoods voucher, I also handed over a £6.00 Sainsbury's voucher and a whole load of other moc's which the young girl was happy to take. I also did not purchase the goods that the moc's were intended for, I second what Lutonmatt said works everytime.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Yes they do. I split my shopping up into £50, £25 chunks as my store wont take more than 1 in each transaction.

As with all things Tesco, it is actually national policy that they accept these - they are termed total spend competitor coupons, but each manager interprets that to mean what they think.

I don't think so ! They take other stores conditional spends like £2 off a £20 spend in Sainsbury but not much else these days.

I did notice a sign outside our Tesco saying something about them accepting Asda coupons, I don't know the details though I'm afraid.
