Payday tomorrow. :j
Made it to work and back on an empty tank!
Went to visit a family today who not only have provident loans coming out of their ears but loan sharks too. So sad. Have to thank my lucky stars that I have never had to be that desperate.
I would of enjoyed a potter around the garden this evening but NDN (Next door neighbour) is having a bbq. Unfortunately her bbq's involve lots of booze, loud music and an assortment of drinking buddies who get louder and louder as the beer flows....add fractious kids (hers) and yappy dog (hers) into the mix and a potter lost it's appeal. I must be getting old and cantankerous!!!!!
I've been pre - warned about a party on Saturday night so it must be expected to be noisy! Deep Joy.
Looking forward to doing some sums tomorrow and seeing whats what.
When I first joined here I did a lot of payment a day and it really worked, hopefully can get back into it soon.
That's about it for now, lets hope this little 'party' doesn't go on too long.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I know sometimes it takes seeing someones else problems, and we realise ours aren't as bad.
Good luck with the neighbours...... xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Payday!:j
Haven't done any sums yet as car is in for MOT as we speak and I need to see what happens there first. Seeing as I have already spent over £300 on it this month it had better pass.
Did risk doing a £1 Payment a Day to the Halifax CC though.
Had a bit of shocker last night. Logged onto facebook and found a message from my DS's soon to be ex wife.
This is potentially very interesting as I will explain. They married about 5 years ago, well after DS was born. She already had a child, not his, but this child meant that a large chunk of his income was protected. He is self employed and although earning around 50k a year hid his earnings and used hers as a reason for the £400k house, foreign holidays etc. In the end she ended up paying the apltry £17 a week I was granted to protect him from going to jail!
These payments stopped last October, and I heard on the grapevine that they had split.
Will be very interesting to see who gets the house etc and how he will be able to hide his money now. I'm curious as to what she wants from me, she has just said we need to talk....watch this space.
It's a glorious day and I am 'working' from home-that is I have my email open, phone and diary beside me, and sitting in the garden! Not feeling too guilty after all the extra hours I've done recently.
Party wasn't too bad stopped at about 9pm so can't complain really, it's just that idea that your music is so great everyone within 300m wants to hear it too that I can't get my head around.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. The car needed a bulb and a wiper blade to pass MOT. Funny thing is Kwik Fit put new wiper blades on 2 weeks ago. Tomorrow will be quarelling with Kwik Fit.
So Payday has come, always a big day for spending!!!
£60 MOT with the gubbins
£50 sainsburys shop
£20 Petrol.
Need to do Car tax on the phone later.
Why is life so bloomin expensive?

Fabulous day at the sea side. Good to get out and about. Feel all sunlissed and sea aired! Spent too much money (mainly on a disgusting lunch out). Is there no hope for me!?
Definately back on the MSE wagon tomorrow.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
There is hope, think of it as I do the scenic route, it doesn't mean I've fallen off the MSE wagon, just means I encountered a few corners!!
Glad you had a great day out, been spolit with the weather, guess ah to lunch, just thinking of my daughter, the 1st thing she would of said is complain, and get the money!!
If life was cheap it would be boring, (thou a lot simpler!!), sure its all sent to try us, (thats what I blame my grey hairs on!!).
Had a productive afternoon, planned to spend 30mins tidying up the junk corner in the dining rm, mainly dds games etc....... 3 1/2hrs later finished... thou we've tidyed the whole floor, got all her wii stuff in one place, and 2 big bags ready for a carboot...... xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hey 365days, just reading your thread with fascination, I've jumped on the DFW bandwagon too so fingers crossed we will all get there eventually
All the best,

Hi 365 ! Reading with interest.
I too need to get back to a payment a day.
Always encouraged by a fellow AF'er. Tell me how is the smoking going ?DC.

Good day today. I went and spent my birthday money!. I thought, momentarily about chucking it at the debt but that thought passed!
Am now the proud owner of 2 new trees. Both bargains-truely. Googled them both when i got home and one was selling for around £40-£45 and I got it for £20 the other selling for around £25-£30 and I got it for £16.
Why am I buying tree's??? Well because I have realised that moving is almost an impossibility for at least the next 6/7 years and I might as well try and get some privacy/screening to my garden. There. That's my justification and I'm sticking to it!!
If anyone is remotely interested I got a Malus 'Profusion Improved' Whopper about 6/7ft and a prunus tribola...both pretty blossomy trees.
And more compost and a big pot but all from bday money so not too bad.
All bday money gone so, back to the leash!
I have an elderly neighbour who we visit occasionally. Came up with a cunning plan. She gives me her lawnmower, and I cut her grass. Sounds a good deal all round. Also she will be babysitting for DS this Tuesday and I will weed her front garden at some point this week. I love this kind of bartering, so civilised and works for everyone.
So where am I going on Tuesday I hear you all cry? Hot date?
Unfortunately not.
I am joining the local gardening society..which makes me sound soooooo blimmin old. I rang for an allotment a week or so ago and the lady on phone told me about it. She said she was 40 and they were trying to get more youngsters (ha) on board. I will go and see what it is all about. Might meet a rich old landowner...preferably who likes the larger lady and has a dodgy heart!!
Arranged a meeting with one of the girls off the AF thread for next Saturday morning so looking forward to that too.
And the smoking is going great thanks-it's the giving up smoking I'm having problems with.;) Might make a doc's appointment soon and ask for champix which is supposed to be pretty good.
Ok what a ramble and not a debt payment in sight. :cool:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Such is the power of guilt.
Having said in previous post there wasn't a debt payment in sight I have just paid Halifax CC the princely sum of £1.00. Phew now I can sleep tonight.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
