  • I have just phoned Debenhams and they said that the supplier have cancelled the order to Debenhams and this is why I have been refunded. The communication has been very poor. I asked why I had not been notified and they said that they have sent me a LETTER!! I asked why in this day and age, when I've ordered it online and provided my email address why they had not emailed me and saved paper and postage!! No answer there!! :( so no duvet set for me :(

Do I assume no news is good news then? I had money taken out of my account on the 9th but nothing has been refunded again. Does that mean I am still likely to get it?
    Any ideas?

Money taken out of my account = contract. If they can't now get this from their suppliers can I buy the same OR EQUIVALENT from another supplier and get them to pay for it under the Loss of Bargain laws??

  • Ive checked my credit card and I've had a part refund from Debenhams but not sure for what items. Does anyone remember how much the "Float away comfort pillow pair" were. I should have written it down but just assumed that the confirmation email from Debenhams would have the items I ordered along with their price.
    Thanx

    Curious and curiouser said Alice.

Had a letter from Debenhams this morning! Apologiesing for the delay, that they have ordered more goods and I am expecting to recieve the goods by the 26th Aug!

Bear in mind that they deducted £12.50 and refunded £12.50 the next day, when I first ordered, but I have never recieved a cancellation email!

Perhaps as I was first int he queue (so to speak) I may actually get one!!!
  • I've just e-mailed because I've heard nothing since the original e-mail. No refund last time I checked either. Keeping everything crossed.
