To humour us could you post your router's line statistics as you have it presently connected, then unscrew the faceplate from your master socket, plug the router into the test socket and redo your line stats.
BTW You didn't say whether you are connected wired or wireless.

FYI The entire UK telephone/broadband etc network uses optical transmission systems. The 'last mile' from the exchange to you is in most cases copper.

You say that engineers have had a look at your disconnection issues but the problem remains, doing what we suggest could help point the techy people here to suggest a solution (or not!)

I very much doubt that the OpenReach engineer checked your router stats, and I don't see how they could have checked your internal wiring etc properly as this is not OpenReach's responsibility-any fault beyond the master socket is down to you.

I'd very much advise that you follow the advice given - OpenReach engineers are often clueless when it comes to broadband issues. Checking the stats as it is now and then again when plugged into the test socket shouldn't take long at all and will show whether or not your internal wiring is contributing to your problems.

As was mentioned swapping supplier won't fix any line or internal wiring faults.

What is good news is that O2 LLU is available to you if you do decide to ditch TalkTalk.

To reiterate, changing your ISP will not resolve the issues that you have with your line.
