Hi all,
Hope you don't mind me posting this on your forum (first post, so class it as ur forum) but thought this could be of use to some of you.
Boots.com are holding a Live Event about healthy eating during pregnancy.
It starts tomorrow 11/08/2010 2-3pm.
I can't post a direct link.....being a newbie but if you go to the Boots website & click on the 'Mother & Baby' tab, theres a link to the live event halfway down the page to the right. :j0 -

hi ladies, havent been on in a few days so have millions to catch up on!
went to docs yest and he gave me a 1week sick line no problem :j although he did a urine test and i might have an infection so just waiting on the results of that. dont think i have one though. and he checked and bubs is still head down although his back is on my left side now so that must of been why i felt "the big shift"
going to make a go of doing up my room this week. dont think me and OH are going to have our own place sorted in time for bubs so need to make room for moses basket etc in my !!!!!! box room!we have the money for a deposit etc but to be honest i just cant be assed searching for a private rental and getting sorted. so might wait until after lil one is born which will obvioulsy be more hassel but i dont think i could deal with it all right now!
hope everyones bumps are behaving themselves!
off to catch up!0 -
I saw the MW, apparently the whole team has changed and she is the community midwife for my practice now!
Not overjoyed that no one was told the whole team was changing but she's lovely :j
Oh and when she heard about the size of DD1 and the twins being big for dates she asked why I hadn't had a GTT! She was very annoyed that I'd actually told the other MW about my big babies and the family history and asked for a GTT and nothing had been done  I think there will be cross words :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Can anyone please advise re: morning sickness?
2.30am - can this be morning sickness?
Thanks.0 -
delain is she going to refer you for one now or is it a bit late? It might not show anything up but is nice to have done it and then you know you are ok.
Well I've tried not to snack today, midwife weighed me yesterday and the gain is scary but now I'm really shakey waiting for dinner to cook. I really hate feeling like this.0 -
hello all
went to midwife she was only running 5mins late must be the efficient student she has with her!! Baby is 2/5 engaged and head down so explains lower abdo pain. she spoke at me about my c-section after flicking through the leaflet hospital gave me that was in my notes folder while the student did my checks - made me laugh as I had read it myself and she didnt say anything that wasnt in there.
Told her husband suffers from vaso vagal attacks that appear like fits especially when hot and stressed so she noted that on my birth page and put needs a chair/stool with back and a fan during section - think I will just discuss at my pre-op appointment anyway.
Dont have to see midwife til she visits after the birth she said she will try to make sure its her, told her I didnt want the rubbish one I saw that time she was on holidays and she doesnt work in that team anymore so no worries there.
Went to tesco and got 12 pack plastic childrens hangers for £1.50, then went in wilkinsons and they are 97p!! Did get 3 nice wooden childrens hangers from wilkinsons for £1.08, they are a bit to big for newborn but fit 0-3mths and bigger on fine.0 -

She hasn't felt sick all day though. I sent her back to bed and she's been fine since she's been up.
Morning Sickness-ridiculous name for it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Should be called "can occur at any time of the day, sometimes all day, then you think you're over it and it comes back again" sickness.
but I guess not so catchy0
