Gonna start packing today, going away for a week on saturday and probably should have started packing ages ago. I wonder if the kids are going to help or just get in the way.0 -

Hiya I'm also in Leeds and as far as I'm aware you can now only birth at the LGI.
I really have nothing but praise fir them. I'd your last birth something you could put down to one of those things?
xx
Yes you can go to Jimmy's too, I saw midwife yesterday and she asked which of the two I wanted to be referred to. You're right, least this time I'll know what to tell them etc and can control the situation a bit more, so am opting for LGI.
Hope you are all fit and well this morning and bumps are on their best behaviour. :A
All the best for tomorrow Durham. x:heart2:Baby boy due 4th March 2011:heart2:0 -

I've had a cold for 6 weeks. Still got the never-ending cough now. I've tried taking hot honey and lemon (which tastes really nice) but it doesn't seem to have worked for me. If you get a sore throat try gurgling warm water with salt.
Congrats Oli on baby FreyaBaby Giz born 6/2/110 -

Had a tickly cough for ages, and this may sound daft (well it does) but I swear by it.
Rub Vicks into your feet before bed - hey presto no more coughing! :j:heart2:Baby boy due 4th March 2011:heart2:0 -

Hi Giz, nice to see you here! Glad your scan went well, have they moved your due date forward?
We are MIL free today, so DS and I are still in our pyjamas. I've managed to burst one of the stitches on my hand stopping DS running across a car park, ouch. I'll have to phone the surgery later to see if they can fix it, I'm expecting a lecture
Good luck to you Durham Girl, I hope everything goes well.0 -
Hi ladies & gents!!
Just catching up on the board, I can't believe how fast moving it is!! Sorry haven't been around since I asked to join. Thanks for accepting me by the way!!
I think it was TigTag who asked if this is my first. This will be my 5th pregnancy but my 2nd take home baby I hope! I have a blood disorder which I have to have daily injections for which is a bit of a bore but needs must! Trying to keep a PMA this time.
My DD is almost 8 (in 10 days time) who is really looking forward to having a baby brother or sister. When we told her she said "I'm not just going to be a sister, I'm going to be a BIG sister."
I think she has been watching too many M&S adverts!!
Anyway, nice to meet you all and hope to get to know you a bit better over the next few months.

Re positions I think mine is head up in my ribs as when I lie down you can see the arch of his back popping out sometimes and def have the pressure there. I am hoping that he does turn as don't fancy a breech bubs! He is very very active at the mo, again I think it will be another sleepless night!
.
durham girl in case i forget to say later, good luck and we'll all be thinking of you.
olipops - congrats on baby freya.
soappie - well said. x
I am at the Dr this morning about my hips, which typically have been a lot better again since the weekend, but I am going to ask for a physio referral anyway as they get better and worse. Also I've walked less than at the weekend, i.e. hardly at all! I then have the dentist at 4.15 as my temp filling fell out the other day. Working from home inbetween, don't think my colleague was overly impressed as I'm now at home today and tomorrow but tough!
Oooh, and cot mattress is being delivered, text from kiddicare says lunchtime.
I am wondering whether to wash some playmats and similar whilst I'm home and it's warm enough to dry quickly.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
