I read to page 45 and binned it..

Before anyone asks.. I have UTI, kidney infection which means I've not been for a pee in 2.5 DAYS!! (other than the odd dribble making up maybe a cup full in total) Uterine infection thrush and SPD .. good job I don't need to pee.. I couldn't walk there if I tried! Oh.. and I am bleeding constantly.. fluctuating between a bit and REALLY heavy...

    :(

Surely they should have taken you into Leeds?

I hope it all gets better for you soon.

Also sorry you didn't like the book, I agree it's not the return to classic King it was hailed as... I still enjoyed it though!

I really struggle to put any book down unfortunately. I even read a whole bunch of 'Joan and Bettys' (saga novels - always a Joan, Betty or Mavis:o) which someone gave me recently when I had a skint patch and couldn't do Amazon.

Can anyone actually recommend me any books atm? I'm having a blank moment. I want to order some to keep me sane this holiday, I like King etc, and some of the Steampunk stuff that's about. I've finished the true blood ones as well!

I also want to find something gripping to put in my hospital bag to take my mind off the pain so I don't demand an epidural :rotfl:

Hi Delain, have you tried any of Philippa Gregory books? They are really good IMHO...

I'm sure no one wants you dead! I do recall a bit about the bad experience you had there though, so I respect you won't go there.

Would your OH not have them?

I wish I lived near you, I'd have got my OH to take you.

I need him to come with me.. and they really do want me dead.. I know that sounds totally paranoid.. but it is true!!

If I could think of a way to do myself in and the baby be ok I'd do it.. I have considered a few options believe me!! OH is refusing to kill me because he'd get in bother!.. see.. now you all wish I'd stayed lurking..

I shall go back to my cave..

No one wishes you had stayed lurking - there's a difference between worrying about someone and wishing they hadn't spoken :(

You better not die. we will all be very cross with you!

I can't believe they're letting this happen to you, proves everything you said about them.

ETA: I know being 'very cross' isn't much of a threat but what else can we do over the web?!

There's a couple of books I've found really great.

I Am Legend (Sooooooo much better that the movie)
The Quickie - James Patterson (thriller)
    Cell - Steven King
    Mondays Child - Catherine Alliott
    Tuesdays Child - Catherine Alliott
Actually, anything by Catherine Alliott :D
OH said Harry potter..my response: hmmmmm :D
