I think they hav ebeen very considerate making it school pick up time.. by the time we get back from school.. dish out juice and snakcs it'll be back up and running.
Cancelled appointment with HV.. they can bugle off.. don't need them telling me what it says in their job description when they are pretty much pointless.. Ditsy woman on the phone says' Oh, but it is not just to pick up the health record they also tell you about what the health visitor does' .. erm.. child number 9... if i don't know already there miht be something wrong with me!! Besides.. DD5 was seen.... TWICE! and one of those was because I wanted a referral to physio/podiatry for her and the other was when she was very new and i couldn't get to the GP and she had thrush and I wanted a prescription.. I cannot be bothered, they do seem very useless tbh.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Baby shopping sounds good this weekendme and OH are going for a quick look on Thursday as I've got a day off :j we don't really need much now though!! Maybe a pack of muslins and I think we're near enough done! We even sorted through some toys last night that are going away for xmas presents  how super organised is that??!!
We played with the car seat last night, its very nice and alot lighter than I thought so I can actually lift it quite easy!
Not sure how much muslins normally cost but I say some on the babiesrus website £6.99 for 10 I think it was, but like I say, for all I know this is extortionate:o I'll be using cellular blankets for spit-ups...one of my new found mummy friends swears by them:D1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:

I've found some of them to be rather patronising. When I moved here (all of 2 miles away from where I lived before!) I had to change my GP and the surgery sent a letter insisting the HV visit me. Twins were 3 and DD1 was 5!!
She came round and left saying she wasn't sure why they'd wanted her to visit me since we were clearly all doing fine :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I'm impressed with your organisational skills:D Our bubs is gettin FA for xmas:o no point as it'll only be 6weeks(ish) old and has grandparents;) Think we'll just open a saving account and pop some money away for it:)

I have to confess there are no organisational skills from me.. the toys have either been free or bought by my famly! I will have a couple in the cot initially but theres no point overloading it, so all the more advanced ones will be kept for xmas presents, baby will be about 4 months by then and will probably appreciate them more!!
Cheers about the muslins, that isn't too bad for 10. Cellular blankets.. hmmm hadn't thought about those!!0 -
mine will be about 6 months old by christmas.. we are getting one decent present and asking everyone to either do gift vouchers or money or clothes.. useful stuff!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Love the bump time line, when I do get my home internet back I may do something similar as don't fancy putting it on FB as will get all the comments (too small/big etc).
Have a nice weekend everyone as probably unlikely to be back on at home when I do get home so will be catching up on Monday - so expect lots of babies xxThomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

Hello
Well last night guy who was doing our fitted wardrobes rang as he cant get the design to work he has tried a number of ways but the way he makes and fits them he just cant get it to work he had spent several evenings trying to make it work, he is such a nice guy and sounded more disappointed than us - he was doing all the design work free as well. So we are back to start as we didnt really like anyone else that came other than a company whose quote was £8K!!!!! we are looking at £2.5K max, got someone coming this eve to quote but we are sooooo bored of it now can see us just buying another wardrobe and living with it.
with regards to stretch mark oil from about 15wks I used sanctuary mum to be body butter til that ran out last week then I have been using a normal pot of sanctuary body butter and when that runs out I have a bottle of sanctuary strecth mark oil - no stretch marks on bump, have some on thighs from before pregnancy but have always mositurised alot as have dry skin. Have been using sample sachets/bottles of palmers cocoa butter stretch mark stuff also when I have had it.
got my jojomaman cashmere shrug today that was in sale cost me £4.50 its great and will be good for in hospital at end august when warm over top of nightdress rather than a dressing gown.0 -

that's a nice bump tigtag, I think I'm on track to being the same size at that stage. Currently 17+2 and my boobs are only just still bigger than my bump. That's probably only cos they are huge as well.0
