another disaster trip to the midwife for me. Everything was fine till she tried to find the heartbeat and couldn't so was sent to the hospital, who were fantastic. They put me in a side room to wait till the sonographer was free then I was seen and the baby was there with heartbeat. She did some others measurements too just since I was there until DS decided he needed a poo and abruptly ended the appointment lol. She gave me a date for my 22week scan on the 6th august but I've just remembered we are on holiday then, I will see if I can change it but otherwise we are not going far and can come home a day early.

hi all, i am from the 'less than 12 weeks pregnant' thread but thought it's about time i introduced myself here! i am 17+1 and very much hoping to find out the flavour at my scan in just under 3 weeks. i am convinced it's a boy. not sure why!

i know i won't be able to keep up with this thread, but will try to pop in periodically for updates :D

Sammy - what b!tch of a MW. Sending you some speedy up baby vibes so you don't have to see her again. It does seem sooo stupid to have to go through all that when your due date is in a couple of days time anyway.

Sammy, poor you with the evil midwife *hugs* When I finished college I wanted to train as a MW as they seemed such lovely, caring people who bought babies into the world. Reading this thread shows how my opinion was totaly wrong, I promise though if I ever train to be a MW I will NOT be evil!

    Welcome Katy :)

As most of you probably know I've had my baby,I had a baby girl called Samantha Eleanor-Rose Janet.Janet was OH mams name who died so seemed fitting to add it to the end.My little Samantha wasn't so little 8lb15oz of fat rolls!
Must say congratulations to Redmel as our babies share the same birthday, only Red beat me by half an hour to give birth.
Can someone please adjust the list for me please, that's if it hasn't been done already.I'm trying to catch up but I'm about 18 pages behind.

Fuzz / KK, I have only really just started showing and my bump is all out front. Cant tell I am pregnant from behind.
I was still in my regular size 12 clothes up to about a week ago. Now I have a definate bump, though maternity clothes in size 12 are still too big! And I am having a boy!

But then they do say, that each baby is different as is how we carry them.

Hi everyone, sounds like most people had a bad night. I didn't sleep very well and our dog decided that he needed the toilet in the middle of the night. Our dog has got a limp, when dh got home at lunch time we noticed he had started to limp. Can't see anything wrong with his paw or leg. Its upsetting seeing him like this.

Congrats hazzie. Welcome katy. Congrats to team blue and team pink, sorry i can't remember who is pink and blue.

I am having a boy and have been craving cheese and my bump is all at the front.

Gosh what a scare glad all okay i must say when i went to midwife at 18wks she asked whether i wanted her to try and find the heartbeat as it can be quite hard to find before 20 weeks she said they aren't actually supposed to look for it until 25 wk check!
