Hi ladies I have added myslef to the list, just wanted to say hello, subscribe etc! I'm due on 17th October so currently 24 weeks today. Found out we are having a little boy and it's our first child. I'm on a bit of a budget for the baby (aren't we all?) as in the middle of paying off debt and saving for a house but got some real bargains from friends, charity shops, making stuff. Looking forward to reading all of your posts when I finish work in 2 weeks. x

    Morning All

Well I shall join in all the fun - spent most of yesterday afternoon and early hours of last night with period cramps, back pain and could barely get up off the sofa, thankfully boyfriend got home fairly early and i made the crucial mistake of going in a hot shower to soothe the backache. Second time Ive done it now and second time its stopped so lesson learnt! They stopped about 9pm ish although have had lots of feelings like someone is trying to stick a pin up me as if trying to burst a bubble which I can only presume is baby's head and pressure.

This morning I have lots of windy feelings in my tummy but not unduely worried about them as the idea of sleeping with a quilt lately has been horrific I've been so hot so may have wind.

Seeing my midwife today as Im 39+5  where on earth did that go?? feels like only yesterday I was sneaking on here to tell you I was expecting! Expecting though to be told off to a degree today for not going to my IV iron therapy but have told boyfriend that if the consultant had listened when I told her 2pm wasn't appropriate being that I have a 6 year old in school, no one to watch him and the hospital is half hour from me and I don't drive, I would have had to catch 6 buses in total and had they actually told me anything about the procedure instead of me having to ring the labour ward then I may of actually considered it. Hoping she'll give me a sweep today because baby's head is bloody hurting and my 'bits' are feeling rather tender!

FERNLIE + ESIO ---- hope labours are going well or your contracting nicely now. Wont be long and you will be having mummy cuddles.

Labour vibes to those who need.

EDITED - WEIGHT - I've put on about 2 stone with this baby which sucks because at Xmas (unknowingly 4 months pregnant) I had just gotten my 2 stone lost certificate from Rosemary Conley class which meant I'd gone from 14st 2lbs down to 12st 2lbs and I was landed because I was in a size 14. Now Im size 18/20 again and back at 14st! Not amused!!! A lot of my weight gain was from the contraceptive injection though after having Ben - I went back to 11st and then had the jab and piled on 3st in a year!

    congrats and welcome jpink.

Morning everyone, slept so much better last night, it feels cooler this morning but I can see the clouds parting and the sun coming out already. It is really awful cos I normally feel so much better in summer than winter but this year I just can not cope with the heat wave.

Midwife later this morning, I will mention the dizzyness but I assume it is partly due to the heat.

Only 4 more weeks at work and then I'm on holiday yay.

sammy if your weight now is 2 stone more than you started out at alot of that will be baby, fluid and placenta extra blood etc so it doesn't sound too bad to me and if you lost it once you can do it again and have the know how this time.

Good luck with the midwife later, and hope things get started soon for you x

Morning ladies. Well I've had a carp night BH were coming constantly then OH thumped me in the back in his sleep then bubs decided it was time to get up at 4am. I'm not going to get chance to nap today as I have my antinatal then the surestart woman iis coming about the stair gates and no doubt once that's done it will be time to go pick the other two up. I think an early night will be called for.

Welcome to the newbies and big labour vibes for those that need them :-) x

Merfe.. dizziness is also due to low blood pressure which is good in pregnancy.. and also perfectly normal!

Well, I feel like crap this morning.. I was up 3 or maybe 4 times I forget.. I had to close the window slightly to stop the rain getting in (evil nasty vile hideous sun back this morning much to my disgust!) I then whalloped my little toe on a large holdall and lifted my toenail so that was bleeding.. just what you need at 2am. I then decided I would develop a dodgy tummy so was back and forth to the loo for the rest of the night.. not to mention every time I turn over my pelvis hurts so much it wakes me up.

Baby had hiccups this morning which OH could actually feel this time.. I do love it when they get hiccups it is very cute.. we have a hand sucker though so it is hardly surprising we get them this often.. 8-10 times a day.

I was too hot to sleep properly anyway.. so all in all a pretty crappy night was had my all!

OH wants to go to his mums this weekend.. and I am not so sure I can manage to 2 hours drive TBH.. he has said if I can't manage it it doesn't matter.... what do you lot think? 2 hours of motorway in this heat.. on Saturday morning and coming back Sunday evening.. at 33 weeks... when I usually deliver at 34-35 weeks...

I need a run to Ikea for the boys chests of drawers as well.. which I had planned to do tomorrow.. I think the drive there will be almost bearable but the walk round and drive back might kill me... Should I send OH with DD1?? Or should I just !!!!!! whining and go anyway?.. lol

Pigpen i think its going to cool down over the course of the week so a road trip at the weekend may not be as bad as you think. Can you get Ikea to deliver the chest of draws for you ? Saves everyone hassle then :-)

I know how you feel fuzz had to have the fan on full last night and the noise was driving me crazy but without it i was wringing with sweat (sorry thats gross this time in the morning)

I want 3 chests of drawers so delivery is about 4 times what the petrol would be.. and I am sooooo tight lol.. or else I would have them delivered! They can wait until after the baby arrives.. but that will mean finding a mug to watch this lot while we go.. and then I won't fit them in the car because of the baby seat.. we have to go this week... poo.

The 2 girls have nicked my fans.. TBF their rooms are so much hotter than mine .. but I still felt justified hating them from the other room lol
