redmel congrats xx
sammykaye good luck at the consultants x
I had an awful night at work, stupid lady with private script saying she was quoted £98 and it came to £107. There was a massive queue since it was after the football so everyone was shopping and she kept shouting about us trying to charge her £30 more than we quoted. She didn't have the quote with her and is getting the drugs at trade price so we couldn't sell it for any cheaper. She started going on about getting it cheaper elsewhere so I told her she was welcome to take her script somewhere else but she knows full well she would not get it cheaper anywhere else because we are selling at the trade price !!!!!!. There was only a locum in too so we couldn't say she could get a refund if she bought in her quote and I bet she has just forgotton how much the quote was or that the quote wasn't for all the drugs on the script or something. Ruined my night she did, oh well 3 days off now and back in time for my birthday on sunday, only working till 3pm so hoping to go out for dinner after work.
MY leg is still hurting from the cramp I had yesterday morning, I could barely stand on it earlier but its a bit better now.0 -
Sammy.. hope all is good and you get a peek at baby again
I don't know where this month has gone!! It has whizzed by!! I keep scaring myself thinking in less than 4 weeks I will probably have had this baby.. I am having cold feet about it now!! I asked OH if it was too late to change our minds and get kittens instead.. I don't know if I am grown up enough to be allowed to have a baby.. plus I'm still not booked in at a hospital.. nor have I heard from them!
None of my pennies are through yet, though they may be tomorrow I guess.. so my Ikea trip planned for tomorrow will have to be postponed until next week when hopefully the cash will be in (chests of drawers for the 2 boys and possibly a bookcase for the landing)
I am getting the last baby bits this week too.. flat sheets and nappy wraps.. then baby is sorted until about christmas.. apart from a snowsuit which will wait a couple of months. Then I'll have the last of the washing to do and we are sorted.. just got to get my head round it next!
Best go feed the rats, they are arguing already.. They are simply not going to survive the summer holidays!!!

baby has been moving and kicking a bit this morning, looking at and feeling my bump, it seems to have dropped quite a lot so I'm putting the changes down to this. Midwife tomorrow so will see what she says.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

Morning All,
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the well wishes.
I'm too pants at reading back so if there have been any new arrivals, Congratulations on mummy cuddles xxx
Had my bead taken out from c-section yesterday and just wanted to let anyone know who ends up with one, it really does not hurt in the slightest, by the time she'd asked me if i was ready she'd actually already pulled it out. It was one thing I was really dreading but rest assured, you barely feel it.
Baby Landen is doing well now. As for feeding, we've gone onto formula. It was getting far too stressful for all of us, and Landen has been much more content, slept better and I feel better because I can actually see he's getting food in him.
Community midwife has been really supportive over feeding decisions and gave me lots of support as I did feel guilty for not breastfeeding him.
All I'll say is I'm glad I went in with an open mind about feeding, i.e I was all up for trying breastfeeding and it would have been my ideal but I wasnt going to kill myself with stress if it was too hard. I'm at risk of PND anyway, so I didnt want the guilt of not breastfeeding to be something to set it off.
Anyway thats just an update from us, I feel really sad now I have to leave the thread, I dont feel ready for the parenting thread, they're all bigger than me LOL

Congrats to redmel and good to see that things have settled with CAFC, there is no point stressing yourself out.
Is too hot and the stupid weather presenters are really annoying me 'oooooh great this hot weather is to continue', not if you're nearly 28 weeks pregnant. It is predicted to hit 30 here on Sunday I plan on spending the whole day in an air conditioned area and avoiding the football. Sorry whinge over.
Hope you don't got to hospital Smartie, sorry missed anything as have been off line.Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

Cafc: That was a lovely post! I am glad you and baby Landen are doing well
thanks for the advise on feeding, I plan on being open-minded with feeding as to be honest I cannot see BFing working for me but I shall give it a go! But it is definately not worth getting down about.
Shame you have to move to the parenting threat, I am definately going to miss your quirky welcomes and excellent advise! Keep us updated with you and Baby Landen and I will see you on the parenting thread in August
Fuzz: I was the same, I had a baby nightmare few weeks ago and woke up wanting to pack my hospital bag! Keep having dreams where the baby screams its head off all day long.. or keeps being sick on me, like the sketch on little britain....ewww!
Pigpen: I am sure you are ready! I keep telling my OH is it too late to change my mind and get a puppy!!! But at the same time I just cant wait to meet my babyno matter how evil they are kicking me all the time!!! Are your kids excited about a new arrival?
