Cl; well done on the digi room thermometre, thats really cheap! I have got a grobag egg one that was supposed to be about £20 but I had a code and got it for free :D whats the baby thermometre like, is it an in-ear one??

First thing I would advise to do CL is write a list of what you need and want for the baby. I wanted everything (bar the pram) before the baby is born so I just wrote down all the essentials (there is a list on the previous pregnancy forum I think, sorry cant access my list, its on my laptop!) I will try find something now. Some shops do offer unisex clothing buts its upto you, I found I couldnt resist the cute little outfits and have got lots of white/ yellow/ cream/ green/ etc sleepsuits/ babygrows. I picked up a couple of pack of nappies (with vouchers) and would buy baby wipes with my shopping if on offer.

lol kitkat - someone i don't know at work but have seen around asked me about 3 weeks ago when the baby was due...I was so pleased! i forgot to say last night, how lovely about the classes! It has nothing to do with your boss! do you work for a charity?

I phoned work this morning, boss was lovely and said just tie up the things you have to and then don't look at any emails or anything. Have to post in my certificate which I'll do later. I have cancelled an event I was organising for M onday as it needed quite a bit doing on it today and my colleague is already overworked - plus I'd like my pic in the paper as I organised the project (2 maps we are launching!). So I've done a few emails and am all done now so am not going to even think about work til next week.

This morning is going to be crap tv, a snooze and that's about it I think.

smartie - sorry to hear you're not so good, poor you.

Someone was asking about constipation / bloating. I def looked bigger then smaller before bump started to grow properly...it was the bloating and constipation...I swear by bran flakes with raisins on (even better than alpen which I also used to eat). and drinking lots of water.

Have been thinking about the baby's room...now I'm off my friend will bring the cot round next week and we may be getting the changing table if my other friend can pick it up this weekend when she's down south. Have decided not to go for the whole cot set but to get a nice cheapish coverlet thing from Asda in the theme we want and then make/buy curtains and a throw for the sofa, and maybe a lampshade and pictures. Not sure if Asda do them instore or whether to order online - does anyone know?

ooh and I had an email from my local Cllr who is following up about real nappies for me.

CL I don't know the sex but have bought some vests and sleepsuits, mainly just plain white. Some bundles I got off ebay and then some new sleepsuits from various places...sainsburys now do basics ones in packs of 3 for £3.75 - they seem decent quality and last week had 25% off so only about £1 each! Tescos are also really cheap for vests. To be honest my mum has bought almost all the clothes!! I've got one or two neutral outfits and will probably get a couple more closer to the time but otherwise will see what we are bought and what the baby is. I'll find my list (i have a spreadsheet) and post in a minute - everoyne has diff opinions on what to get but i've pretty much settled on mine I think. Lots of my stuff has been lent/given/promised (best mate just offered 10 brand new muslins :))

Fuzz, no OH hasnt been to JC :( He has completed the online form you fill in, and apparently they then ring you, which they havent. I did tell him to call into the office yesterday but he had to help a mate fix his car?! He really needs to get his priorities right!!! I cant moan about him not going to JC today, I have sent him to my parents house as they are in desperate need of an electrician so are happy to pay him to work there, but obviously it isn't loads. Just wish he would sort himself out, he better go there monday  or I may cause hell!!!!
Lol at fuoops.gif to my manager! He moaned about the trustees decision again this morning. He is making me feel bad now... but scr*w him!!!!! just have to hope I can get a space on the classes now, they start in 2 weeks. I know they arent essential but I kinda want some guidance.

Wow.. someone just asked me if I am pregnant... lol. This is the first time someone has actually noticed, she was dead shocked when I said I was 30 weeks lol
With the jobcentre he is honestly better off going in and sorting it all out face to face or they try and fob you off for as long as possible:mad: At least he'll be getting a bit of money off your parents for the work:) Just make sure he doesn't go to the pub tonight:mad:
I know what you mean about antenatal, especially with it being your 1st the reassurance that what you already know is right will be invaluable:)
Can't believe people have only just started to notice you're pregnant:) actually I can:eek::D

Any pointers on what I should be buying while pregnant? We don't want to find out whether it is a boy or a girl, so I can't really buy clothes. I've already bought lots of nappies, ordered the travel system and we have been given a cot.

Hope babies arrive soon for those at the top of the list!
Ooo what travel system you ordered????? :D

My room thermometer is from £1 shop:D Dunno what its like coz my Mum bought it, she went a bit crazy the day after we told her:o:p:D
As for what to buy, definitely a list, I have a list of whats essential for bubba and whats essential for me as new Mum:) Then a list of stuff I'd like coz it's pretty:p We're not finding out the sex either so for clothes bubs will have babygrows/sleepsuits/vests in various neutral colours(aka white!:p),we'll be getting a nice big snowsuit for it as it'll probs be freezing when bubs is due and hubby will be buying bubs its coming home outfit when he can be bothered, other than that clotheswise, we're relying on gifts for baby and failing that, Asda is a 5min drive away:)

    .

Yeh I work for a charity, spose that why I feel abit guilty about them funding me! But I will ensure I apply for lots of funding when I return to work. The manager happily uses one of our work vehicles to get to and from work, doing about 200-300 miles per week without putting fuel in and doesnt see that as a problem, even though he isnt allowed to do it, so I dont think he should give me a hard time!

Fuzz; the woman who noticed I see daily but I dont really know her, I happen to be wearing a slightly tighter top and she seemed so shocked!!! This top makes me laugh, I bought it because of the cute dog on it and only realised when I put it on this morning its actually is a dog with an england shirt on, promoting the world cup! God how gormless am I! I am sure it will go down a treat working in a very welsh area! Good job I am english :) I will speak to OH tonight, I will threaten him by saying I will order that stuff from mothercare if he doesnt go.. lol :rotfl:

Cl: sorry I cant find a list on here!!! I am currently working through the list of things I need myself, wana get my hospital bag sorted ASAP! I did find buying bits each month really helped, it didnt seem such an expense. Hopefully you will find your family will help you, my mum has gone abit baby mad :rotfl: and my sis has bought some lovely next stuff.

they will save money when you're off. That's actually fraud that your boss is committing, not only against the charity but tax fraud i think...my dh is a finance manager for a charity and would go mad!

Just gonna find my list then I'm off for a snooze...

I had the code for littlewoods catalogue, it was actually £25 off £50 spend so I ordered the egg, some baby grows, a changing matt and a baby jacket I think. It only cost £25 for the lot so the egg was techincally free :D

Rach; I didn't think about how much they will save when I am off, as my SMP is paid by the government, and my work will actually make money on me as they get paid a percentage as an incentive :D my manager is commiting fruad, I could write a book about him, his stinking attitude and his 'dodgy deals'. The trustees are currently looking into him...

Thanks for posting the list Rach!!!!

Hi, yes it is an ear thermometer. I got a gro-bag from Matalan for £8 in white and a white snow suit from TK Maxx in the clearance for £5.
