Weirdly my OH loves them and reckons it's like a tattoo to celebrate our baby! Lol.

Thanks :) he has his good and bad points! Comments like that are sweet but I'm not so keen on the 5 hours he spent on call of duty this afternoon!

Maybe you should resort to what my friend did. She took her OH's PS3 outside and threw it down on concrete untill it was lots of little pieces. She says its the best thing she has ever done and as she was 5 months pg he couldn't/didn't do a thing about it. She rekons they have lovely quality time together now. :rotfl::rotfl::D:rotfl::rotfl:
I on the other hand have just bought a new 42" tv so DH can get a ps3 and leave me in peace. lol.

On another note, what is the earliest in pg you know of to get pg related back pain? I have terrible lower back pain with occasional shooting pains down my right leg im 14+5.

Hope everyone ok, Labour vibes to all who need them.

  • Wow that's a great picture merfe, DH said on our 22 week one that he thought he saw something but that is great!! We had another scan on Wednesday to check his growth they tried to look between the legs, but either had them crossed or the heel was in the way.

Going back to hospital tomorrow morning for checks, bit of a vicious circle as feel myself getting anxious in case b/p is up so probably will be - any tips for not getting anxious??

SM breathing, the im in labour but this won't hurt breathing. If you are dehydrated then BP can spike so get in the water, avoid caffiene for same reason

On The Edge - I am not even 14 weeks yet and my pelvis/back is already knackard. Right side/leg especially. Like you I welcome my OH's ps3 habits, gives me peace.

I feel really sick tonight. OH watching lethal wepon

  • Merfe that pic is amazing!! was that done on a normal scan machine? or did u go private? i can never tell what they are looking at when they scan me i just nod along and pretend i know :D

just back from the cinema saw the new tom cruise film. he was a bit yummy in it!! stuffed my face with salty popcorn although i did come home with half it down my top!! OH is having a wee drink and i stole a glass of his beer and its lovely! will prob be sick as soon as i finish it though!!

just caught a bit of 16 and pregnant. really had to hold back the tears the girl was adopting the baby was v.sad. but OMG she made the birth look easy peasy i hope mine is like hers!

sir my blood pressure always goes up at the docs when they take it! i get so nervous so he takes it at the end of the appointment when im a bit more relaxed. hope urs is ok tomorrow!
  • thanks liliac and dream, don't think my stress levels are being helped by the tip of the house but had thought should take it easy due to me having high b/p but may have to tackle it as getting too much!!

Off to bed, hopefully I won't be readmitted tomorrow!

I was watching a underage and pregnant episode (not that one) and was really sad as the 14 year old girl's bf died before they knew she was pregnant, she was great though really strong not sure if a 40 year old could have dealt with it as well as she did!

I saw that one. She was from inverness or something wasn't she. Was there a underage and pregnant episode that caused friction or something?

Still feeling sick. I have had 3 good days and really wanted a chinese. OH agreed and now its just lying on my stomach. ewww

I'm still up and DH has gone to bed...I don't think this has happened since I got pg! I'm tired after a long day out but not sleepy if you know what I mean! Think also am just in need of a bit of time to myself, been with people all day.

Had a good day out though was in agony by the end. Literally didn't think I could make it back to the station, was so painful. Now getting pain at the front as well as the back and am sure I have SPD. Will see what the physio says on Wed I guess. I managed to meet up with my sister in law in canterbury for a coffee which was nice, she's lovely, she kept feeling my bump but I don't mind at all!

DTD - we are doing about once a week, with not sharing a bed for months (and I end up sitting on the other sofa when watching tv too as better position for me) I am keen to keep making the effort. DH seems to still find me sexy which is nice :)

sir m- hope it goes well tomorrow, will be sending you relaxing vibes. Let me know how it goes if you don't get back on here.x

merfe - i still can't really make out the scan! Our 21 week scan pics are just the head, he was v quick, I was worried wasn't thorough enough but the 12 week scan was v thorough.

smartie - glad DS ok and hope you can get bubs moved this weekend!

Bit of unexpected news that my dad is going to give us (and my sister and her DH) some money towards a house deposit. Will make a big difference and we should be able to buy in this area :) Still need to see a mortgage broker and see if best to wait til I'm back at work or not but wow!!

  • thats great news rach! now where is my money fairy :rotfl:
my scans were the opposite the 12 week one was a quick "viability" scan as they call it, then the 20 wk one was much more thorough although the girl was jus sounded like she'd said it all a million times before and didnt really explain everything

I know, it's amazing...we need to check all the details as there's been no concrete timings etc yet and DH wants to chat it through with my dad and check he isn't feeling forced into it (my sister hinted a bit I think, but we've never said anything as I don't think there should be any expectation of parents helping out their grown up kids), BUT it will make a big difference when added to our own savings! My dad didn't want to chat when his gf is here though so may be in Oct when he comes to see the baby as that will be the next chance.
