    I had broadband for a month after i disconnected from bt so i'd side with spike on this

    You may not have a BT line, you obviously have a cable pair back to the exchange that is still connected to a dslam but it doesnt have to be a BT dslam, the line may have been unbundled and still connected to a LLU provider, that way if you called BT (retail) they would have no record of any service into the property...like I posted earlier its easy to find out the ISP the line is connected to, if its BT then the line isnt unbundled, if its Opal (TalkTalk) or Easynet (Sky) it may have been
