Childrens shoes.

We bought our daughter (2,Feb) some black patent shoes to be worn for parties and special occasions, just before Christmas. Come end of March 1 of the 4 velcro straps has come off otherwise the shoes are in great condition. The shop where we bought them told us to sew it back on ourselves! as they no longer stocked that style and "she'll grow out of them soon". After some protesting the Manager said she would get them repaired. The shoes do still fit my daughter and I'm a little miffed we weren't offered a different pair, all be it a different style of the same size. Where do I stand in the great legal scheme of things?

Why do you need another pair when the original ones are being repaired?

If these shoes fit your 2 year old before christmas, believe me they will not fit her now. childrens feet grow at an alarming rate = youre talking nearly four months, !!!!!!.

Legally, after 4 months you dont have a leg to stand on = so to speak
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

The shoes still fit her, how long for I don't think I could tell. There is still growing room. I have had a look at foot growing info for that age and it seems it could be another 3 months before another pair is needed (6 months).

The shoes are not being repaired, to be frank I saw my backside. Why I should pay £45 for some kids shoes+when one develops a problem have to get them repaired. Let's not forget these were black patent party shoes and have hardly been worn.

Is that true? After 4 months nothing can be done?

Pray tell what legislation that last sentence depends on? Given that the shoes do still fit growth wise?

Depends on the shops refund policy
