    Hi Julia

Sorry for not posting before, but have only just seen this thread.

I am very sorry to hear about IT's progress. After all you have been through, I know that you can be strong, but gosh a bit of support will help.

Say hi to IT from me. Will keep everything crossed for him having as long as possible with you and the twins.

Def. go with the alternative therapies, they may at least make him feel more comfortable.

    Hugs to all.

    Vanda

Oh Vanda, its lovely to hear from you again! There have been a few familiar 'faces' popping up on here and I feel like I just want to run into your arms for a big hug, none more so than now as his hair is starting to come out big time and he's only had one dose of chemo! I must say it brought it all home to me somewhat.

  • I'm so sorry to hear that - cancer is a horrible disease. My ex FIL was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer 12 months ago now. Initially his prognosis was 3 months but he's still here - although unfortunately I don't think it will be for much longer.

I know my ex MIL has found the Macmillan nurses to be a lot of help. I think they're there to support both of you. To be honest she's also found vodka a support too but I really can't say I blame her.

I'm sorry i can't think of anything better to contribute but I wanted to offer my support too as I know how horrible it is to lose someone you love to cancer.

MoT I'm so sorry to hear about your and IT's current situation. It can be hard to be strong for someone when you have other things going on in your life. As already said, take whatever help you can. I see you work in the NHS, if you are an RCN or RCM member, they also offer counselling by phone. Keep posting, will keep you both in my prayers.
    Take care.

Glad to hear IT is being positive, I know that although it may not change the outcome, it will help him in the meantime

Encourage him to stay that way :A
