Just thought I would add this little bit of information to help keep me on track...

Money in account: £878.59 (incl O/D)
    Money in purse: £2.23
Money still to come in: £252.32
    Bills to pay: £908

In total this leaves me with about £225 to last me until pay day (30th July)

Out of this I also have to pay money to my dad for our holiday flights that he kindly got for us.

But also, because I'm moving out on 17th July, I will be getting a refund of the rent because I'm only living there until 17th and paying for a full months. Also will be getting my deposit back.

We also have around £100 which has been generously donated to us from OH mum to get ourselves our first big shop of everything we need for the flat so at least that will help.

This will also be the last time I will be paying for all the bills for the house share as for our new flat me and the OH are doing everything from our joint account so it will all be so much simpler.

Roll on the next couple of months! :)

Wow what a stressful couple of days!

Work is getting me down, the more hours I spend here the more grumpy I'm getting! Friday afternoon I was ready to break down and cry with pure frustration! I didnt want to go home to face anyone so called OH and he met me at pub to chill down and then we went out for dinner. Should have been better and saved money but I needed to get away.

Words cannot explain how happy I am to be moving out!!!! No more worrying about getting money off housemates for bills, and a nice and simple life! :)

We had call from EA yesterday arranging a check in time to pick up keys and do inventory etc. 2.30pm Wednesday 14th July (1 week today!!!) I got a hospital scan at 3.40 so work are letting me leave at 3, so going to call hospital to move my appointment down one slot so I can go via the new flat and help with last bits of check in and leave the OH to do the rest. Then we get our man and van on Sat 17th to move all the bulky furniture and by Saturday afternoon / evening, I will finally be out of the house share and looking forward to organised bliss :)

We got our new contents insurance sorted too which is really really exciting for me because the figures are finally starting to come in so I can work out how much to spend a month :)

£19.54 a month for £20k worth of cover and also including our i-pod and digital cameras while we are out. Result me thinks seeing this is split between both of us! :)

    Happy days!

Exciting times ahead for you lovely :) It is great getting your own place together and you find longer term you save money as you'll probably enjoy cosy nights in more without housemates around ;)

OH and I are moving on 4th Aug to our first house together (buying) - we're super excited but also surrounded by chaos in meanwhile trying to prepare....can't wait :j

Re your other thread - perhaps mentally prepare yourself not to spend the first wend you get paid. Maybe make arrangements to visit family or something like that so that you don't hit the shops?? If you can get through first wend without a 'big' spending session then the rest of the month should be nice and comfortable for you.
