Well one housemate isnt around for tonight, the other is working tomorrow night so i think sunday evening is best for everyone. Bills arent due to go out until the 1st so plenty of time. I'm even going to get the OH to put a notice board up in the kitchen so I can stick everything up there - no excuses! :)

On a happier note, the housemate who can sometimes be the bossy one (i sometimes feel that she's the mum lol!) is in a happy mood so we are sending non-stop happy texts to each other which is making my afternoon much nicer :)

If I dont pop on before, hope everyone has a lovely evening :) xx

Thank you! Although I am very motivated I am extremely unorganised which is probably why I got in this mess in the first place!

Turns out one of the council tax direct debits had bounced which isnt good but ex housemate has said she will give me the money in cash instead of direct debit either tonight or first thing tomorrow so I can put it straight into the bank along with £35 from another housemate so once all that money is in I just need to collect all the coppers and pennies around the house and all direct debits for the month are paid for!!!

The OH has a bit of cash spare for the month so has said he is going to buy me food for the rest of the month to make up for the rent I've paid this month while he has been staying.

Get his first rent payment 28th :)

Well I had a totally gorgeous weekend (and didnt spend a single penny!)

The OH on the other hand spent enough so made up for both of us! Granted, he has the money so I cant complain and he felt really bad that he was buying himself new shiny things (a surfboard and a motorbike) so he took me out for a nice lunch and brought me a pretty dress :) Happy days!

My ex-housemate posted an envelope through my door on Saturday with money for council tax (AFTER I'd already gone to the bank) but she only gave me £40 when its £70, she got the wrong amount so again, I'm short! Still waiting for the extra but she's working all week so hard to get hold of her...

But, because the council tax bounced back into my account, it meant that there was enough money to pay the phone bill, so the phone bill has been paid but I'm still about £30 short for the council tax. I would ask the OH for some money but he literally spent all his money on his stuff, and its his money so I cant exactly make him feel guilty about it!

On a more positive note, I literally did ALL the household bills this weekend so I know exactly what everyone owes me (except for electricity as the other housemate has the bill and dont know where she has put it!) and the OH has agreed to pay me £188 a month to help with rent and bills which is great because I wasnt expecting him to pay that much but bless him, he wants to help me out and he has also told me that he doesnt want us to move out into our own place until I have made a significant dent in my credit card so I have a little bit more motivation now!

So, I'll have to call the council tax people tomorrow to explain the situation and in the meantime literally empty every cupboard to see if I can find £30 somewhere.

Got a telly/dvd combo in pretty good condition I could sell so might take that to cash converters Saturday, see what they can give me

Ooooh I was proud of myself today!

I had my £40 to go to the bank and just as I was walking I was thinking 'Oh I'll just pop into M&S to get some crisps and a nice relish to have with my sandwich as I have a little cash"

Then I stopped myself, forced myself to the bank and put the money in! I was also tempted to put it on my bank card but again, forced myself back into the office.

After I had my lunch I was still hungry but couldnt warrant using my card for a snack so I was just counting all the pennies in my drawer and then one of the guys was like, I have this cake but dont want it so would you like it?

    Score!!!

I know it doesnt sound like much but more me its quite a big thing as I will spend my money, just today my will power was good and strong!

From now on I leave the card at home so I'm not tempted...

So I checked my bank account online just now and it says that the council tax payment was taken again today! This has taken me over my overdraft by about £33 so I have my fingers tightly crossed that it wont bounce again as I would much rather be £33 over my limit than miss the payment again...

Still need the £30 from my ex-housemate as that would make things level again but, shes working and cant get hold of her so doesnt look too promising right now...

I really do need to be more organised in future. If I had just got all the payments together in time then they could have set up direct debits to my account and this whole mess could be avoided.

Could very easily get myself worked up about this and get all stressy because itd done now, and all I can do is learn from it and move on.

I wish for the day that all this is behind me and i've been good for long enough that my credit rating is good. Thats a loooong way away for now though...

    ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

    Bad day today lol!

I checked my bank account and the direct debit bounced AGAIN!! So that means another bank charge for next month :(

This was getting stupid so I sent my old housemate a text asking her for the rest of the money and she text me back saying she didnt even know if was anymore and would prefer to just pay the £40 instead of £70!

I replied saying she knew it was £70 because she text me back, and that I would prefer to only pay £40 instead of £70 but seeing the bill is for all of us we all have to pay equal share! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

So, still waiting for her reply to when she can give it to me but in the meantime I've had to beg my dad to lend me the £35 I need to pay it so I can just make a payment and when she gives me the money I can give it straight to my dad.

    Bad times indeed!

I know there are people in worse situations than me but this month has seriously been the most unorganised month ever and has resulted in this mess!

I also know that things will get better and after a couple of months of getting my feet back on the ground and out of this mess, I can be much more stable with payments and actually start to make a difference.

    argh - rant over!

    Better day :)

Daddy came to the rescue (as much as I really didnt want to ask him, I needed to) so I called the Council Tax people to make the missed payment and they were really nice and friendly over the phone and instantly put me in a good mood :)

Then I went to bank to check the charges that were due to come out as I only got the money from my dad at around 8am this morning and payments were due to be taken today so I wanted to make sure they hadnt bounce as that would be another charge. They too were really helpful and friendly and advised they would be taken tomorrow so not to worry :) even happier mood.

FINALLY got the total figures for the house and have texted everyone telling them exactly how much they need to give me a month and my bank details so just waiting for their replies to make sure they will do it.

The future is definitely looking brighter.

Also need to put £35 aside on pay day as I need to put it towards my friends limo for her hen do on 1st May - fun times :)

Weekend wasnt too bad. Have spent all the money that was left over from my dad on food for the weekend and I was little naughty and got the OH a little present from the shop on the pier (only 99p) and a can of coke for us to share on the beach.

The rest of the weekend consisted of exercising, watching telly and sleeping. Quite a nice weekend actually but I am still pretty tired!

OH gets paid tomorrow and said he will help me out with petrol (light came on this morning on my way to work) and with food for the week and I have to arrange to pay him back when I get paid.

It has been a loooooooooong month :( And even though its pay day on Friday and I can pay everything off, its going to be another loooooooooooooong month but hopefully long months mean the quicker everything is paid off :)

Well, its only been a few days since being paid and already i'm broke!

I have spent the first hour of my working day doing figures and making sure I have everything covered.

Once EVERYTHING has been paid (and also paying my credit card on time for once!) I will be minus £55.

Thats nowhere near as bad as I first thought but I was really rather naughty over the weekend... Took £150 for the hen do saturday, £35 was for the limo and rest for meals and drinks etc, only spent a further £25 so came back home with around £80-£90 which I was well chuffed with.

But... because I came back with money we decided to go out for a nice meal Sunday night and I ended up spending £40 on meal, drinks and rented out a couple of dvd's to rent.

So, I have £40 to put into my bank account, where I could have had a further £40-£50 so I would just be over my overdraft limit.

Oh well, nothing I can do now. Just need to think of a way to get the extra money...

On a lighter note, I'm hoping that next month will be much easier...

Saying that, I have a wedding and a festival to go to so I would of liked to have had some money left over from this month to put towards that but oh well, nice dream that was!

So scrap that, its all about July. July will be the month where things will start getting much easier. If only I could fast forward time to end of July where things will start making a difference...
