i think we could all get a little carred away with the power of the house prices, economy and recession forum. it's not visable to the casual viewer (you have to have signed up and signed in) and it has pretty low (if committed) traffic. as a place to debate it's fun. as a place to influence voter opinion then energies would be better spent elsewhere.
Broadly I agree - but I suspect poisoning the well might be quite powerful across the whole web forum space.
i actually think the most useful thing it could provide to potentional canvassers is a guage as to the arguments they might be faced with and ways to combat them. as such they should be grateful to the role played by those with opposing views. after all, preaching to the converted it not going to change things.

What's going on? I seem to find myself agreeing with you lots now. Maybe the most useful thing of this forum is to find harmony where there is discord? :D

By the way, I'm probably not going to answer your immigration question. I'm not that important, so it's probably not worth your while doing a Paxman on me....

I bow to your superior knowledge on the matter ;)

However you do kind of refute the argument of your second paragraph with your contribution to the debate on here which as others have pointed out tends to be of the 'everything GB does is good, everything the other parties do is bad' persuasion :)

and which 'others' are they? have you or they read all of my posts? do you know my views on the war in iraq and afghanistan for example? or my views on work for benefits? or my take on environmental issues?

jeez i'm glad i'm so famous and avidly followed by you all.........
