It does make me suspicious of people who are carbooters or just trying to nab things to re-sell. Hmmmm it's awful but I refuse to give to this person as I feel they are just taking the mick half the time. I mean what's the likelihood that this individual has needed every single item I've offered on there <rolls eyes>
We have one of those as well but there emails usually just say I want it:mad: I gave away some expensive perfume at the weekend and there was that much of a response that I looked to see what they had offered before. One person had made 23 postings and only 2 were offered, the rest were wanted.
On the other side I gave away my sons collection of pokemon cards recently and the lady I offered them to brought him an easter egg as a thank you.:DSealed pot member 954:D

Flutterbyuk, what I did before parting with cash for gym membership was to set myself the target of three/four sets of excersise a week for eight weeks. Be that brisk walk/jog, cycle or swim. I then found I enjoyed that more than the gym and didnt join, just continued what i was doing!!! Money saved.
However when it persisting down outside the gym did seem very tempting!
Good luck tho with whatever you decide to do.0 -
evening!
been at work for 10 hours today so not had time to read the thread yet.
Hope everyone's well.
The hawk has been back but luckily no pigeons were out, DH is thinking it may be a goshawk now as it seemed too big for a sparrowhawk. Not seen it myself. Still several of our birds missing.
tea was quorn curry for me and SF chicken for the men.
washing wa shung out lasty night to save time this morning. House clean and tidy just a huge ironing pile for the morning.
Am off up the dairy now with Dh to put his load up for morning.
back later to catch up xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Just popped in for a quick look, but had to add how lovely it was to see Diva top of the thread again.
Take good care0 -
Evening everyone :hello:
Still not managing to keep up with the threads but I hope everyone is well.
Coming to the end of my two days "off" and am looking forward to a rest when I go back to work tommorrow.
OH is finishing off the treehouse and it's fabulous. He's outdone himself. :T Just a little painting to do tonight and I will finish the curtains for it later.
Today has been spent sorting out the veg beds and chicken proofing the flower borders. Have sown lots of salad seeds, some cucumber and herbs and have transplanted all my courguette, strawberries, red and green cabbages, brocolli and lettuces. Also potted up the toms and peppers in the greenhouse and fed all the fruit bushes.
House wise I have swished and swiped and made taglietelle bolognese for tea which we'll eat in the garden as it's still sunny.
Better get on with it I suppose.
Bye for now

Hi Taplady.Unless you live near a large pine forest then it wont be a Goshawk. Likely it will be a female sparrowhawk, these can be huuuge birds! As with most birds of prey the female is considerably larger than the male. Not much solice I know and really not much you can do about it either
I'm a birder by the way, I catch and ring wild birds to work out longevity/migration etc and have had some massive female sparrowhawks in my net, always handle very very carefully!0 -
Welcome back Diva!!!
I am really happy today as it is my Boyfriend and my 2 year anniversary today :T. My neck is still really hurting me from my accident, I can't wait for physio on friday. Took my car to get it's estimate today, could be nearly £1000 of damage, but at least it won't be written off as I love my Percy.
Not much OSing going on today as am doing late shift at work. I am a bit nervous as seeing the ENT suregon about my sinuses tomorrow, last time I went he stuck a camera up my nose and I fainted, hopefully tomorrow will be more of a talking session but you never know!
Glad everyone has been enjoying the weather, it is so nice not to have to go out head to toe in woolies for a change!
love to all x x xHmmm will add up debt and stick on on later!0 -
Good evening all, I have had a terrific day out and just got home .I went with eldest DD to London for the day and we found a great Italian restaraunt in Wardour Street where she treated me to a lovely lunch, and then we went to the matinee of 'The Jersey Boys' what a fantastic show the music was great and the actors terrific,if you liked Mamma Mia I would reccommend it to anyone
When we came out from the theatre I almost got flattened by Jason Donovan who was riding his bike on the pavement ,got a big 'sorry grin' though which made up for it.
The day out was for my birthday treat which was in February, but we couldn't go out anywhere then because of the heavy snow.I have had such a good day, and my DD enjoyed it as well as because she works is not often able to go out for a 'mums and daughters' day But as her school is still on their Easter break she managed to get away from her family and just be with her old Mum .I am going to get her some flowers tomorrow as a little thank you.We also went into Blackwells book shop in Soho and I managed to get a DVD for my pal who does such a lot for me when she comes down from Dartford.
I'm just off now to put my feet up and watch Holby City, perhaps 'Joseph' will make my day and get his shirt off again;)
Hope everyone has had a good a day as I have I am still buzzing about it
Cheers JackieO xx0 -

Thanks stroppyjock. It's a good idea. I do walk to work when I can (3times a week normally) but my bike is knackered so will need to see about fixing it/getting new one before I can cycle.
 I was a bit annoyed to come home to find there was no water. I rung Welsh Water who said there was a burst pipe in area this morning but it was fixed this pm so should be ok now. I explained that Id checked with 2 neighbours who also say they have no water, so all they could say was to contact the estates management for my flats as it must be a problem with their pumps. It took an hour but it was finally fixed.
Then my nan came round with my 2 little cousins (aged 7 and 12). I'd promised my littlest cousin that he could count all the money in my giant piggy bank when I needed it. As I've just booked 2 holidays I needed the money :rotfl: It was a mixture of £1 and £2 coins which I've collected over the past 13months. There was £310 in it :j:j which is fantastic. I took them for an ice cream by the sea afterwards to say thanks.
Have a good evening

Evening All,
First chance to post today, can you tell I am back at work.:D Anyway only 3 days in this week, so I am looking forward to taking my DS3 to town on Thursday and into the museums, probaby to Mackies for lunch.
Feel like I am getting into the swing of things again. I manage a large team so trying to catch up with everyone is the hardest thing but I am getting there. Also bringing all my spreadsheets up to date. Grrrr:mad: hate em but its got to be done.
Walked into town at lunchtime and although it was sunny really felt cold so not quite summer yet.
Diva Lovely to see you back
Lowesy hope the lesson went well. My DD is on her 4 driving test, so frustrating.
Anyway off to watch Sophie Dahl, she makes me laugh:rotfl:Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
