    Perhaps cos it ain't true?

Tell me which charity pays its chugger £150?
  • So why would you refuse the donation, as it is going to a good cause anyway?

Because the donation is too small? Its my job to refuse such donations. They're a waste of a DD form.
thats why i dont understand tesphen trying so hard to justify what he does. If he really wanted to save lives and do some good for charity he would do the chugging for no pay what so ever or maybe a slice from greggs at lunch.

I have bills to pay. If I could afford to work for free I would. If I was in it completely for the money though I'd join something like Cobra and make a hell of a lot more.

WOW! And that is why I will never sign up to donate to a charity via a chugger. £7.99 a month to a charity in your opinion is a waste of a DD form. Can I refer you to your first post where you say "We work because we care about the charity". I think any previous argument you had made about being in it for the charity goes straight out of the window there.

That is a poor excuse, a DD form does not cost £8.50 for you to fill out and process.

Sorry if you cared you would fill a form out whether or not you get paid and process it because every little helps for the charity.
The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

We all have bills to pay so thats a terrible excuse. I donate some of my free time to a local charity and dont get paid for it..

If your worried about paying your bills i would suggest you go and do a different line of work that pays more money

Its not wether I get paid or not, I get paid if I sign nobody up, I'm just not allowed to sign people up for less than £8 a month. Thats just the rules. I could sign you up and it wouldn't get through validation and then I'd get in trouble for wasting a DD form.

And you all work, so I don't see what the problem is. I'm just working and doing my job like anyone else.

I chug for Save the Children. I am paid £7 an hour, work 5 hours a day, and 5 shifts a week. I give £2 a week to Stonewall.

You claim you get paid out of gift aid, - whether you sign people up or not? How does that work, if you don't sign anyone up, you can't get giftaid?

If I understand gift aid correctly, its 20% added onto any donation, so £8 becomes £9.60 - do you earn £1.60, or is it every month thereafter, = £19.20 per annum?

You earn £175 from Savethechildren but give no money to them despite allegedly supporting them?

You claim that you are not allowed to take a DD under £8 - how come people can set up DDs on their website for any value (http://www.savethechildren.org.uk/en/donate.htm), & most of the tearjerker ads on the digital channel seem to ask for only £2 a month.

I notice that Save the children claim 14% of every £1 is admin costs/ getting new donors/money. If you charge 20%, their other methods must be a lot cheaper.

Hey, you carry on working for your own gain and not the charities. but i would like you to show me how you have saved someone's life.

If you can do that then ill sign up.

Bear in mind ive seen things that no one should ever see.
