Received Neutral feedback..what should i do??

Hi all the ebay experts...

I have just received my first ever neutral and i'm not sure what to do. I was not contacted prior to the buyer leaving the feedback which is why i am more annoyed.

I sold a pair of topshop MOTO jeans which have the topshop label stating size 10 inside. I listed as Topshop jeans....size 10 petite'

Feedback received stated 'Nice item but item is not from topshop as stated and are not size 10. Quick delivery'. Now the label said size 10, in the back of the jeans they said MOTO petite which is why i listed them with that description.

I have emailed the buyer to ask why she didnt contact me to explain that they have the label stating size 10, and MOTO jeans are from Topshop but imagine i wont hear back.

Can i get my feedback removed, and if not...how and what should i reply to it? Feel a bit upset my perfect feedback has been ruined !!

Thanks

Just put a comment underneath saying they were Moto jeans labelled size 10. Nothing more you can do. I have received neutral before for ridiculous reasons. I sold some veet hair remover cream I won in a competition and the buyer left neutral saying it didn't work that well. Well I didn't make the blooming Veet did I!!

Forget it and move on, there is nothing in your post that suggest a way of getting ebay to remove the feedback.

A neutral isn't damging really though, it doesn't affect the overlal score and in fact stars can do a lot more harm -so check your expanded seller dashboard as well.

I just got my first neutral with the comment that I was a good selller as I refunded for an item lost in the post. It is very annoying, but i have to accept there is nothing i can do about it.

Also do they have any Top Shop label at all? That is always a sticking point with worn clothes, you may know you bought them in Topshop but unless the label supports that it is open to question. MOTO appears to be a genric label/Manufacturers label and not Top Shop Specific.

    Thanks

I thought that MOTO were just Topshop but i guess you learn something everyday!! The size 10 label that is in the hip region (not at the back where it just said petite) did say size 10 and was a topshop style label but cant remember whether it actually said topshop or MOTO on it...should take pics of EVERYTHING in future.

How do i make a return comment....i dont find ebay search that easy to follow!!

I shall stop being a perfectionist and realise on ebay that buyers rule!!

Can i also ask why its advised to have a separate buyer/seller account... i only sell 50 items max a year?? And if i did set another one up, should i keep my 300 feedback as a seller one or buyer?

Comment you go to community (right up the top)
    Then go to feedback forum
Then there is a box of links on the side- you want the reply to feedback left.

It's best to keep accounts seperate just in case you get hassle from a seller (say if you had a reasonable complaint) by them bidding on one of your items just to get back at you.
I'd keep the one with feedback for selling- sellers can't block you for being new, even if a few would like to!
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p
  • I wouldnt worry about having 100 percent feedback, a lot of buyers are just idiots anyway the only reason you probably got neutral feedback was you was unlucky enough have that partcular buyer, buying something from you that day, if it wasnt you it probably would have been someone else.

I always think 100 percent feedback looks a bit dodgy, and i dont like the way you cant give buyers negative feedback., you get people who only buy and they are the worse they will moan about anything.

I mean a none paying buyer has nothing done against them now, you cant even leave them negative feedback.
  • Do the reply to feedback left bit, something like: ''MOTO is TOPSHOPs exclusive denim range. Clearly labelled size 10 Sorry they didn't fit you!'' :p

Then move on and forget about it - it won't affect you as people will see this, most who buy Topshop stuff know fully well the denim is labelled MOTO and see that you have done nothing wrong.

    Good luck hun! :)

It is only the first little bit of a reply that shows even though it lets you type in a lot. Hope that makes sense. You could say- Moto is Topshops says 10 sorry they are too tight for you.
  • Lol, yep i have a knack for making things more complicated than needed. Could try:

MOTO is Topshop range. Label states sz 10 Sorry didn't fit.

    :)
