Did you check out her slippers and if so, did they remind you of anyone/anything?...Just kidding, of course. I expect the upstairs was a tip and maybe you'd caught her on the hop. Your concerns about letting them go was exacerbated by your exchange with her and then you got into one of those viscious cycles of worry - guilt - worry - guilt - worry. Relaxxxxxx..:A0

thanks for some of the comments - i am a female.
yeah i rang her before i turned up on the doorstep.
she probs wasnt expecting me to actually turn up.
first she said 1 gone out the window, then the other 2 got out, she said the cats were scared of her. she was smoking like mad when she opened the door, she put on such a good face when we gave them to her, she said her cat died 9 months ago and has been upse, and that she would look after them and would not let them out.
i hope she has sold them to a good home and feels guilty from proffiting from selling cats.0 -
I am sorry this is gonna sound hard, but why did you not give them to the cat's protection or something similar?
I had to give my 2 cats away coming up 2 years ago when I had to go into more supported living. I spent weeks finding a rescue centre to take them. There is no way I would let them to to complete strangers who hadn't been properly vetted.
I also knew once they had gone, that was it. Even if I could see them it wouldn't have been fair on the cats to go and see them again. Though I did e-mail the centre and asked how they were doing from time to time.:j £2 coins = £2.00 :j0 -
If you dont live too far away they may turn up on your doorstep if they have got out.
Animal have been know to travel hundreds of miles to get back to their origional owners
If this does happen go through a reputable rescue who can provide backup0
