    Hi
I second what hankc35 says - celebrate her life. My children do not know either of my parents as they were 59 and 62. I think that you are in shock you didn't expect it yet and feel that her last days were not nice. It is very upsetting to think that a loved one is in pain. When my Dad died I heard that that day he was very upset and that upset me more than anything.

Also when my Mum died I did wonder if she was in pain and asked Sister to check her morphine pump.

We can't bear to feel that our loved one is in pain.

My 8 year old told me a buddhist? story about saving a son that I will tell you when she comes back from the pictures - out of the mouths of babes.
