i have been approved for a vanquis card, but the apr is very high. i dont want to get into more debt but i do want to improve my credit rating, is my credit rating likely to improve if i just get the card and stick it in my purse ?
still paying of these council tzx bills, have fell behind with payment since i finally kicked my ex's !!! out the house last month, need to get back on track, as i know they put so many charges on top,
just selling anything i can atm, did have a declutter a while ago but still got loadsa crap i just need rid of, as i cant get to do a car boot, im just ebaying anything and everything.
start college again 6th sept quite looking forward to it, however it does make job hunting all the more difficult
well i will soldier on
take care

hi hun, thought i would pop in and say hi! keep your chin up- you seem to be making good progress on the debts so far. just had a read through, shocked at the attitidude of job centre person, not the type of stuff they should be saying, esp as you want a job!
there is a guide to rebuilding credit history on this site somewhere with useful tips. i think it says to get a card like vanquis and buy some stuff each month but make sure you pay off in full every month!
cant believe woman in tsb either, surely the whole point in them doing the basic account is for people that have had problems in the past so if they are happy to take their business a bot of sensitivity and respect wouldnt have gone amiss!
keep it up, i will pop by and see how you are getting on!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Hi, thanks for your lovely post, I am getting there with the debts and can see a massive improvement on my credit report already, which is great as i want to buy a house in the near future and thats my main motivation for getting debt free
Now you come to mention it i do remember something about spending a minimal amount on a credit card every month, i will give it a whirl and be really strict on myself not to go overboard and ruin things for my self yet again
its a bit unfortunate im having to sell some household stuff, just to get a bit of extra money, being the summer holidays it doesnt really help, but i apply for jobs daily and im really hoping someone will give me the chance before christmas at least because if i dont have a job by christmas i will be very stressed.
I have paid my council tax tax today, only to get a text reminder 5 minutes later that my tv license is overdue. sods law isnt it.
will deal with that tomorrow
Thanks again for your post
take care
