Gien what’s the pick your own field? That sounds lovely. We have a heritage site that we can see from our bedroom (one of our reasons for choosing this house), that has so many interesting things-including wild gardens, and a lady’s heart buried on the site-but Ive never heard of one of them.
The farmer plants up a rows of flowers and you can go and pick what you want and put the money in a little box. At the moment there's only daffs and tulips but in summer there's a whole range of flowers to pick. Sometimes there's also veg which has been ready picked.
All is quiet here so I am off to bed.Trying to keep in budget.

I'm fairly sure that this sort of thisng is no longer allowed  Starting a thread on the Families Board will get the expert opinions

KH2 means n ob head number 2 (DD2's father).
It seems that this school is exempt from everything - perhaps because hairbands can be bought from anywhere, they think they're not being exclusive? Tights are not allowed - only the dodgy black stocking look will do for the headmaster. And the no coats rule is one I have encountered at other schools - not only is it easy to see which school a bunch of troublemakers are from, the fact that they are shivering and blue with the cold presumably means they are less likely to bunk off or hang around causing trouble after school.
I can forsee there being some discussions between myself and the school (poor DD2!).
My local authority stopped doing clothing grants in 2003.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

JOJO That is unbelievable, how are people meant to afford that. I know we couldnt:eek: I was complaining about paying £13 for polo shirts, £20 for sweatshirts and £30 for a rugby shirt. We only have one place we can get it from as well.
It must be a story for the local paper, can you get some of the other parents to join forces with you?
I'm sure the headmaster looks good in the dodgy black stockings though:rotfl:Sealed pot member 954:D
Overdraft payed off at last :Tjust 2 loans and credit card to go.;)0 -

But I bet you would be even madder if they sanctioned overcoats. Just think of the cost of that extra garment!
I remember when I was in the third year of secondary school I had to be bought a winter uniform duffle coat. Mum bought it so I would grow into it. I never did and it was still too big three years later...
Kitchen S&S'd animals fed. Washing up put away. I'm in for an early night if I canI am the leading lady in the movie of my life
