Argos Selling used items as new

Look, either this is a deliberate practice, in which case it's deplorable, OR it's a regularly made mistake, in which case staff training and stock controls are substandard. Some have said "mistakes happen" but I cannot think of another store that has ever sold me something which is second hand before - other stores get it right, so why don't Argos!?

I saw a news story recently where some people were buying up pallets of faulty Argos stock from clearance wholesalers, visiting Argos to buy a new matching item, swapping it for the faulty one, then resealing the box and either taking it back under the 30 day guarantee or claiming they'd bought a faulty product.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

my blood presure is spot on thanks, I wasn't getting bent out of shape my friend, merely stating that Argos should be checking that returns that have been opened/used don't get re-sold to someone :T is that not just common sense?0 -

Should be, but sometimes it doesnt happen. Sometimes things get put to one side because the store is busy, sometimes another member of staff comes along and puts it back on the shelf thinking its an item a customer has viewed. Sometimes, mistakes happen.
Is that not common sense as well?0 -

Sometimes things get put to one side (why not label it as being returned/faulty/missing parts - it's hardly rocket science!) because the store is busy, sometimes another member of staff comes along and puts it back on the shelf thinking its an item a customer has viewed.
