TV deal price drops after purchase
Comments
-
I bought a tv and blue ray player on bank holiday monday I was told that the deal on it was running out that night. I happened to go into the store on the following saturday 5 days after buying it and have found that the price has dropped by £50.
I said to the shop assistant that I was not happy that they had dropped the price and was there anything he could do, he said that there wasn't. I told him that I could go home package everything up and return it and then buy it again at the lower price (it worked in Argos a few years ago) he told me that as I had unpacked it, I could not return it.
Is there anyway of getting the difference back without having to go to the trouble of packaging everything back up?
Many thanks
Great post troll.

Sad thing is, you know there are genuine people asking this question. lol
Made me think. I bought a TV, paid something like £1,300 for it. Less than 6 months later the price was practically halved. Oh well. Such is technology.0 -

The whole thread got deleted.Lemmings all follow each other blindly not asking where they are going, nor why.
The OP is a Troll sitting back watching posters blindly fall over themselves. hence the OP's username.

The reason the rest of my posts have been deleted along with about 30 other peoples was the thread that we were all replying to was deleted as the company that we were all having problems with threatened a law suit against the forum as it did not like the fact that we had a problem with it and it was hurting it's business. As proven by the thanks a few people thought I had something helpful to say.
Basically it was an american business selling cameras and the like but as a .co.uk site, everything was in pounds. the alarm bells starting ringing when people were getting US spec cameras when they were advertised as uk spec.0 -
Where I work, I'm glad I never have to deal with this sort of thing, because we have a price promise that if the item goes down in price within 28 days of purchase the customer can have the difference back.
It pays to shop around, really and see what policies stores have.
I expect the TV and player are now discontinued now anyway as most manufacturers are in the process of changing their lines. I'd have waited until the new models were bedded in as they're all launching in the same sort of price bracket as their predecessor give or take about £10.
This was the reason I started this thread, it was to see if there is anything like this that stands as a consumer right and just not a company policy.0 -
