Lovely bright day here but that wind is cold - but have managed to potter in the garden for an hour and get yet another line of washing out and drying.
Dinner tonight is spicy chicken with salad and maple potatoes and HM granary bread.

I've spent the majority of the day in the sun reading on my balcony
but thought I'd go out for my first bike ride of the season only to find out that my bike's chain has rusted
I've just posted on the motoring/cycling board for help. I'm so disappointed
but finger's crossed I'll be able to mend it somehow. I wsa counting on my bike to help me get fit and lose weight too.

Donny, if you are painting directly onto plaster, you need to do a 'mis coat' first, which is very watered down paint, like semi skimmed milk, let this go off then paint as normal. Sorry if you already know this, but this is what we have been having all the trouble with in this house as the bloke had not done this. If its not done the paint will stick at first, but sooner or later it will start to come off in chunks.
Yes we did know, but wonder if vinyl had been used by your previous owners?

no - he's decided to just race young birds from now on as he has more success with them. They are doing well so far and we'll soon be training them.
How is your DH getting on?Do what you love :happyhear0 -
I've had a really good OS day today, and feeling much better too! I put away two baskets of clean washing that have been around for aaaaaaaaggggggggeeeeeeeeees and have listed loads of stuff on amazon, so am all excited about getting buyers! does anyone else still get ridiculosuly excited about selling online?
csarina - the daffs are gorgeous, they have made me feel all summery.
Do you think it would be safe now to get my summer wadrobe out of my vacuum bags and put away my thick woolies or is it still to risky?????
Cuddles to all that need them xHmmm will add up debt and stick on on later!0 -
Good evening
Not been on this weekend as it's been so lovely we've been out in the garden and doing some spring cleaning jobs too - the loft was :eek:
Off work this week as there's no courses booked in and as I'm there to learn the ropes I won't learn much IYSWIM?
Diva Is home and in bed but feeling very grotty and dizzy. She is going to take it very easy and hopefully will be up to more later in the week. Going on the laptop makes her feel very dizzy so she isn't doing so for a while. I shall keep everyone updated as & when I hear from her.
I have 2 weetabix cakes in the oven as I type (it must be the day for them reading the thread) they smell lovely. I'll freeze one and use one this week. I put half soft prunes in and half sultanas hope that the results aren't too
Bargain Bird Hope you're ok & that everything went well xx
Tired Mum Hugs xx
Off to do a quick tidy in the living room now before we settle down to watch 240 -
Evening All,
Had a fab day, got loads done in the garden, OH installed my outside tap, but we have decided not to let the boys know how to turn it on from inside, after the [STRIKE]mess[/STRIKE] fun they made with it today. You would think it was July, the weather has been so beautiful. :TMy new lilac has grown quite a few new branch buds (what's the technical name) already, and my Irises are showing too. They are my favourites, apart from lillies of course, my wedding flowers were irises and white roses!
Anyhoo, off to finish the kitchen so that if it's nice again tomorrow I can spend minimum time indoors.
Just for you, candygirl, (not that I need much incentive to show off my wee girl)
Sorry it's so big! |Can you tell how much she's grown already? 3kilos since we got her on 23rd Feb!It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0
