You might need this updated Connection Manager for Windows 7 and the ZTE MF 626 you now have.
Just tried that link and got the following:-403 Forbidden

Windows 7 Connection Manager
ZTE MF626 User manual
So you have two choices; You can just download and install the Drivers or remove the old generic Connection Manager for the ZTE MF626 and install this new one. Disable the old '3' from starting up with Windows at least.
Remove the USB Modem before attempting installation of any of the options.0 -
I tried installing the drivers. It said it installed succesfully. Step 6 says that the drivers would then install, but they didn't. Plugged the modem in, the drivers started to install then I got the message, "Device driver software not successfully installed. Failed".
I uninstalled the Telstra connection manager, rebooted and installed the full version from the link above. Got the same message.
I have tried installing the drivers from the top link above to the new connection manager, but that failed.
The connection manager is now constantly showing "Please wait,,, initializing". The previous version would show "Connect" when the modem was connected to the pc.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the full version with no joy.0 -
Have you tried using compatability options when installing?
Set it to Vista or XP sp2 and try the install again.
you might also have to install as Administrator.Laters

right click on the install file and first try "install as Administartor" (or word to that effect. I'm no where near a Win7 box!).
if that install does not work right click the install file and go to properties. there should be a "compatability" option in one of hte tabs. Set it for "XP sp2" or "Vista" and try the install again.Laters
