The VAT also includes any VAT on calls or messages made outside of your allowance, not just your line rental. All the call costs etc. are shown minus VAT.

OneADay and iwanttosave are correct, that total amount before VAT is line rental + outside allowance costs.

Check your bill, somewhere in there is going to be calls/texts you are paying for. If you cant find any ring 02 customer services.

i dont go over my usage ...... only last month and it was 17p, which i thought was for a phone call , but it was for a txt i had sent to my phone.

I have it all online and i never go over ... my old tariff was 1200 mins / 1200 txts n unlimited web... i NEVER go over my allowance lol

did you take out your contract when VAT was 15%? VAT has recently gone back to 17.5%

thats the only thing i can think it might be

There are two types of O2 tariffs.
O2 consumer tariffs which are shown inclusive of vat, and ...
O2 Business tariffs where vat is shown seperately.

So I would assume you are on an O2 Business tariff.
