The headteacher just said that I was a very good candidate - nothing more constructive.

    Sigh.
Well that in itself is a positive surely? Maybe the winning candidate had more experience/specialist knowledge than you, it's hard to tell if they won't give active feedback. How did you ask for feedback? Instead of "Do you have feedback?" you could maybe ask "What could I improve on in my next interview?" or something similar.

Don't let it get you down - the more interviews you have (viewed positively) the more experience you have and the more confident you become. Have a blah day with some wine/cake/comfort thing, then view tomorrow as a new opportunity.

I know, I did well to get an interview there if anything, so I'm trying to stay positive. It's just worrying as I'm not sure I'm going to have a job in 5 weeks time =/

I hate being a grown up sometimes :(

Okay, so I'm trying to think more logically now... :o

I know that I can do supply if all else fails, and there's another job that I can apply for that starts in January - again not sure what my chances are, as it's for a head of department job, but I might as well try! So just sat doing the application for that. The frustrating thing is, that I apparently look very good on paper, but can never quite deliver in person....

I also know that if necessary, so long as I can get some supply work, we could manage for the short term - we don't spend a lot and we could cut back further if necessary. As much as I don't like not having a permanent job, I'm determined to do anything if it means working at least part time - the thought of not having anything to do scares the wits out of me!

    Trying to stay positive? Definitely.

    Hey hun

Keep your chin and take the positives even if the feedback was iffy...sounds a little like they already had someone in mind. All the same, you will be ready for your next interiew and I am sure you will have one but not too many because we want you to get a new posting.
Aim high and believe in your ability. Its hard to sell yourself in a few moment..it would be so much better if people could see us performing in our natural habit which makes it real but alas this will never happen.

You will get a new job, there is one out there with your name on it hun.

Positive, positive. We are all rooting for you. xxxx ;)

Sorry you didn't get the job SF, but glad you are thinking a bit more positively about it all now.

Jobs are attracting so many applicants these days. you did well to get an interview. Just think of how your interview experience will help you in the next one you will have..keep those positive vibes going (even if you don't feel like it sometimes).

Lots of (((((hugs)))))), and good luck for the next application.

Off to bed...up too late again..silly me!! :o

    Aims for June:
    - Lose as much weight as possible for;
    - wedding dress measurement day - 29th June
    - Find a job....
    - Have a meal out with H2B :)
    - Put £300 into wedding savings

Well, I have lost 1 lb, which obviously is better than nothing, but not great. I have ordered my wedding dress :D I haven't found a job :( though that's not a lack of trying, that's for sure. Me and h2b have been out for a meal, and I've managed to put a massive £506.59 into wedding savings :D

    Aims for July:
    - Lose 8lbs.
    - Keep searching for a job
    - Put £300 into wedding savings
