  • i don't belong on this thread, so apologies for butting in lol but any conversation about shooooes...

you could wear flats that look like courts under a long dress- so sort of ballet slippers, but pointy toes? assuming you'll be having a long dress people will see the pointy bits and they'll look nice and smart?

    and sparkly!

    I got these:

They looked just like heeled shoes from the front, but were perfect as I'm 2-3" taller than DH, coupled with the fact that I'm rubbish in heels!

I'm also wearing flats and have got these Ballerina Pumps from Next for £28. I've never worn heels and I am not going start now :-)

No it's illegal to wear flat's. Unless you wear heels they won't issue you with a marriage certificate.
You nana- wear what you want, you can get married in your bare feet if you want.
I wore flat's , never wear heels anyway. Nevertheless my feet were killing me by the end of the day. When we finally got into bed I had to rather pathetically ask my new husband to lift the heavy blankets off my feet as they were so painful.
    Booo!!!

Of course it's OK ~ it's your day, so you can wear whatever you like!

I have the opposite problem ~ I'm 5'6 and OH is 6'5! My shoes are really comfortable, but i have some silver flats from next which have a diamonte bow on the front, so I'll probably slip them on sometime during the evening, but I could see myself going barefoot lol

Hope you find something you like x
