British Airlines really p*ss me off.

London - Delhi (Totals 1 adult, 2 kids)

    BA - £1889
    Virgin - £1909

    Air India - £741
    Jet Airways - £789
    Kingfisher - £815

So, money saving tip, if flying to India use an airline from India.

And BA wonder why they are not doing so well ! If they were around £1000, some people would pay the extra but £1000 MORE, that's crazy.

Where are you getting your prices from? I've just done a quick check on Virgin and flying 6-12 months from now in economy 1 adult 2 children is £1200-£1400 and out next week and coming back the week after as long as you are not looking at flying Sunday or Monday (where it is about £2200+) you are looking at about £1460. So not as cheap as you say you can get from the Indian airlines but a good £500 cheaper than your price!

I'd pay any amount not to travel on an Indian airline
More fool you, Jet Airways is very good in my experience

Is it time for most pointless thread of the year already?

You pays your money you takes your choice. They are offering their service at the price they want to offer it for. Not sure why it would p*ss you off at all? You pay the money for their service or you choose an alternate service.

We all make conscious decisions every single dayon things we buy. We don't all feel the need to make a post saying that something mroe expensive than what we have chosen P*sses us of :rotfl:

Im not posh enough to shop at Waitrose, it's Tesco for the likes of me :D

But, it p*sses me off because British Airlines have an arrogance about them, that loyal customers will pay more. A user on this thread was right when he said "you'll get a seat on the wing" that is the impression of Indian Airlines and British Airlines exploit that by charging more, in this case over twice as much.

OK, so you're being pedantic now.
    I'll put it again:
Does the price of tinned tomatoes in TESCO p*ss you off when you compare it to what Aldi or Lidl are charging?

So what if British Airlines have "an arrogance" about them?
The "loyal customers" will fly with whichever airline they want to, just as you are free to do.

As for people being under the impression that Indian airlines provide a 'seat on the wing', there are enough websites that will give customer feedback on quality of different airlines.
And BA only "exploit" those people who decide to fly with them.

I don't get the point of this thread either. If I wanted to fly somewhere, I'd check to see which airline was offering the best deal and go with them. If people want to remain loyal to a company like BA and pay more then that's up to them - it doesn't p*ss me off one bit!

Who remembers the phrase "rip-off Britain"? The phenomenon seems to survive in the skies, even when the customer has a choice.

So he can let everyone know he's flying off again somewhere.

Totaly pointless thread no dates or class given so who knows what price would be avalaible now or in 5 mins time, maybe BA and Virgin have sold all their cheaper seats, anyway Indian carriers do generally have better prices when I have looked.
