I'm sure I'll regret posting in this thread, but I just have a couple of things to throw in....

    1. Best thing for a fake is for it to be destroyed.
    2. Giving fakes to a charity shop is not on.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

Maybe I shouldnt of put it in a charity bag I never thought of the consequences of someone buying it and selling it on as a genuine belt. The belt it self was rubbish quality and could not be mistaken for the genuine item, it is also not a really well known brand so not everyone trawling charity shops will recognise it. I didnt realise coming on here an asking for advice was going to result in people picking fault with me, my problem was with a initimidating seller who was sending me nasty emails which which ever way you look at it is wrong, I just wanted a bit of advice from people who may have experienced the same problem.

I think you've been given good and bad advice; from trolls and 'good' posters! But the best advice (already given) is to ignore and forget. If you can :)

I don't know the ins and outs of fake goods etc. but surely it would be possible to buy it from the charity shop yourself if they are selling it? Or get it back saying you put it in by mistake and should have destroyed it as its fake. And maybe following it up with trading standards would be good; after all they should know what best to do! And the police if you feel threatened by the seller.

Don't lose heart posting in this part of the forum, there are unfortunately a few trolls who pop up their heads now and again, but they are in the minority, just put them on your block list.
  • Can you not block her emails, I too brought some fake goods on ebay GHD for around £80 ebay told me to destroy them, informed the seller she asked me to send them back I refused and went ahead and destroyed them.
I guess I was lucky in that I heard no more from the seller keep a baseball bat by the door just in case all through my guess is nothing will happen.

I had the same probelm brought some GHDs which are actually fakes, costed me £70, never got my money back as it was over 45 days!

I wish Ebay would come up with some proper terms and rules for people that sell counterfeit

confused0024.gifThey have they are there in the T&Cs. As you have said yourself you lost out because you didn't claim in time not because the rules weren't there
