What did you think paypal might do? Send a minder round?0

You did actually deprive her of her goods on the say so of an organisation which has no legal standing in this case. People have the right to face their accuser, in this case you. Yourself, paypal and this retailer have become judge, jury and executioner. As you have been told many times - ring the police. And install a panic button.0

hey, im new here
,
THats awful bout ur woman threatening to come round!! what an idiot, shes in the wrong for selling fake goods in first place - u done the right thing, hopefully now shel wise up, doubt shel come round, she knows shes in the wrong, god ppl like that are soo annoying! hope u arent too stressed!0 -
Again, the assumption is made that she is guilty. It looks like the buyer has verified this, but destroying it? Or in the charity bag. Now that doesn't smell right to me.
Something similar happened to me. I sold a pair of Oakley specs in my shop. Trading standards landed on me as the buyer "thought they were fake".
The reason turned out to be she couldn't find a similar pair on the web to see if she had a bargain or not. After having been given all the proof they required, they asked if I would give a refund as she was a bit upset. I offered her a second hand price, which she accepted.
The point I am making is that she did the right thing. She took her concerns to the proper authorities, who dealt with it professionally.
What if this woman has unknowingly sold a fake item? The real scammer, her supplier, has got off scot free (no racial slur intended bob)0 -
The Paypal thing about destroying the item does seem a bit crazy I must admit, being involved in DVD wholesale in the past I could quite easily buy a really expensive boxset from ebay and then write out my own letter on headed paper saying its fake and get a full refund and the item.
This is not against op but just a general thought, what if instead of this thread today we had a thread made saying:
It would probably be better for Paypal to reach an agreement with somewhere like trading standards whereby the buyer would take said item into TS and they would look into it and the refund would depend on the outcome of the investigation. But can't see that happening somehow, but the current system is flawed and something needs to be done as theres waaaaaaaaayyy too many non straightforward transactions happening on ebay these days.Help I've been scammed!!!!111!!!!
Help, I sold my expensive designer belt last week and the buyer put in a claim saying it was fake which I know it was'nt as I purchased it from Dorothy Burtons, and while I was away on holiday paypal have closed the case and refunded the buyer who also says she's destroyed my belt, so now she has my belt, a refund and I have to pay the fees. What can I do???Did you know you can get Viagra software now??? Yeah, it turns your floppy drive into a hard drive
