Afternoon ladies!
Wasn't going to post today but OH has taken DD out in the Porsche he borrowed from work so I have some time to myself to catch up etc.
Today I have:-
- Been to Mr T's with OH, he's terrible he is. Bought duck for 1/2 price for dinner, bought diced fresh chicken, expiry today £1.75 down from £4, went straight in freezer.
- Batch cooked millies cookies with cherries in and Twink's with cherries in. I take the twinks out a bit earlier so they're a bit more flapjack-y. This is the best, easiest, most productive recipe I have come across for ages!
- Roughly worked out what I am to be paid this month, need to work out where I am going to allocate it
- Cleaned bathroom
And still will:-
- Sort clean washing
- Do nothing and relax! All HC and ironing that is needed for the week is done, now I can chill out and read the paper.
Happy sunday!
JxNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -

Done everything on my list apart from going into the sewing room, and it's only 2.30 so plenty of time to do that.
Fay - I have a website being built but I'm not sure if I will blog on it. I'd love to have one and keep thinking about it but it would just be one more thing to take me away from what I should be doing! As someone's tag line says - "procrastination is the thief of time" and that applies to me only too well.
La Escocesa - Thanks for that link. I'll be adding it onto my next list which starts in September 2012 and encourage all my contacts to sponsor me
Just going to finish this cuppa then up to the sewing room.Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -
Just checked the bank and there tons of cash in there - don't get excited, I've just been paid for the next three months by student loans/grant etc.
I've quickly moved £1300 to a savings account that I don't have a card for to use during the summer months and paid myself £330 for this month and put £660 in the instant account for the next 2 months.
Basically, I'm trying to make 3 months money last for at least 4 months. If my plan goes well it should be doable
Also been to Homebase and B&Q looking for slate and border fencing for the garden but we didn't see anything we liked so came away with nothing - good for me, I almost bought a BBQ and 2 hanging baskets that we don't need yet!
Done 1 and a half lessons - about to finish them off NOW!0 -
Woo hoo - just listed my first item for sale on ebay! :j It's all very exciting, keep looking at the viewer count! Think I might get the bug now - will hunt round the house for other bits to sell!

Hi all - determined new ms , thought this might interest you. I always make banana bread with my mushy bananas but I am trying not to use my oven so much. I found this recipe for a microwave version through the Old Style board. (It is on the Sainsbury's website). It only takes seven minutes in the microwave!!!!! And it is yummy too.
Banana & chocolate chip cake
Tasty banana cake popular with children & adults.
Serves: 10
Preparation time: 13 Minutes
Cooking time: 7 Minutes
Nutrition per serving: 287 cals, 13g fat, of which 5g saturated fat, 21g added sugar, 0.6g salt
You will need
125g margarine
125g light brown soft sugar
2 medium eggs, beaten
2 large bananas
250g self-raising flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
50g milk chocolate drops (made in a nut-free environment)
1.Place the margarine and sugar in a bowl and beat together until light and creamy. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
2.Mash the bananas and beat into the cake mixture.
3.Sift the flour and baking powder together. Fold into the cake mixture with the chocolate drops.
4.Spoon the mixture into a greased 1.75 litre microwave ring mould and cook on HIGH for 7 minutes.
5.Leave to stand for 3 minutes, then turn out and cool on a wire rack.0 -
Now for my list - hoiw did it get to half seven? Blimey where has the day gone? Today I:
1) Went to 2 car bootys. Got a huuuuuge pile of DVDs for 20p each! Also got B some tops, T some Ben 10 bits and Lego, and a book for me that has only been out a month.
2) Took T to a(nother) birthday party. Card and present from stash, and wrapping paper recycled.
3) all meals from stores.
4) I Freecycled my old sewing machine. It is broken but the receipient was happy to tinker with it.
5) Visited my Mum. Put her Christmas decorations in the loft!:o
6) Booked a date for my hall to be redecorated.
7) Hokey cokey drying inside.
I expect we shall watch a 20p DVD tonight, seems rude not too! Have a nice evening, L x0
