My things for today:
*used newspaper coupon for money off shopping
*tried not to over-buy in supermarkets (only partially successful)
*got some crafting bits from a garage sale (and some gifts for family).
*donated a bag of books to Oxfam, with the bonus of clearing out unwanted clutter
I'm sure I must have done something else, but no idea what
*you shopped for my Anthony Worrall Thompson thingy....
*we chatted on the phone....several times
*most important of all you lifted my spirits after a rotten, stressful, crappy week!!!bookworm86570 -
Why have people been ringing tax credits? Have I missed something? I havent had my renewal stuff yet?

Hi Fay, I tried earlier today to put some CDs on Music Magpie but it kept telling me I had put in an invalid barcode! Have you ever had any problems? Do you know if you can do anything other than the barcode thingy? Shall go get myself a cuppa and see if it's different after that - sometimes that's all it takes!
Time for a:coffee:0 -
I think sometimes La escocesa that omitting the little numbers works (the ones at the end) or making sure you put them in does
Try both!
I've only sold on music magpie once and some of the barcodes didnt work - so I tried various combinations!
Goodluck - perseverence overcomes most things
Don't know how else to do it - do they have a help thing?

So strange! Think it's just the website that is playing up. Put the same number in - once it wasn't recognised but it was fine the second time. Worked on CD#3 - 50p! :rotfl:
PS - now I'm looking through all these old CDs I don't know which ones I want to get rid of! I am a weirdo - they've been in that box for about 2 years and I've hardly even thought about them!0 -

Will do one or two over the day (don't see the plants as chores tho
), sun is shining, I have the house to myself and am drinking hm irish coffee mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. So new things to do:
- write list of things I want over the year - things that I think will bring me pleasure/save me money/enrich my life. So with this I can either spend my monthly pocket money on items/save a little each month or when its my birthday/xmas and oh/family ask me what I want I will know - I can live vicariously through writing lists of things I want want rather than through going out and buying what I can't afford!
list has 3 things on it :o1. a remoska, 2. a giant weighted hula hoop to exercise when finally finish opaying for blimming gym I hardly ever go to... & 3. an ipod (will only get cheap one off ebay when debts are cleared). How sad I can't even dream of things I want to buy anymore! Although oh was talking about budism today and how they see "wanting" as suffering...
- Also think I will do an inventory of my summer clothes and work out what I intend to get over the summer...
I was thinkign about your post - firstly absolutely plants are amazing
Secondly about things to enrich your life
There was a thread on here (MSE) about listing 101 things to achieve - lots of things simple/hard or other - try and see if I can find it for you............................
SOmeone else might know what its called!
Goodluck"!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

We were exactly the same so its prob the site - and its wierd to actually get rid of things BUT - the cheque in the post is worth it though
If you can't decide if you want to get rid of it why not copy it onto your computer - then you can just keep the songs :TTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Yeah, I think I'd be happy doing that...but OH says my laptop doesn't have a lot of space so we'll firstly have to get an external hard drive (read: £60 that could be spent on the wedding!;)) to transfer the songs and my pics to that...
Hmmm, can probs download the songs at a later date for not much more I guess. Can be one of my debt-free treats to myself
Out with the old...In with the cheques...right?!0 -
Exactly - cheques are all good!!
You're exactly right - what we are doing with our DVD's (all listed on Amazon) is exactly the same thing - we'll replace the ones we really want later and they'll probably be cheaper.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
