There was a thread on here (MSE) about listing 101 things to achieve - lots of things simple/hard or other - try and see if I can find it for you............................
SOmeone else might know what its called!
I'm doing this!!! :T My lists here sometimes say "do something from my 101 tasks". There is a thread called 101 things to do in 1001 days:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...html?t=1382887
The website for Day Zero is good for inspiration too:
http://dayzeroproject.com/
1001 days is about 2 years and 9 months and I know I won't be able to afford to do things like walk the Great Wall of China etc in that time, so my 101 list include things like "Have a snowball fight" (achieved 05.02.10 - thanks Jo!) "finish a cross stitch I started 22 years ago" (achieved 17.01.10) and "learn to play chess" (not yet started). To me, it's just a long term version of my jobs lists. I love lists so much I have daily lists, monthly goals and my 101 things to do in 1001 days.
Right then, todays DFW list (another list)
- check banking
- check for surveys
- get the potato plots finished and hopefully planted - but I can see the planting rolling over until tomorrow
- possibly an NSD, if not then just a rubber chicken to last half the week
- finish the corset that's in the sewing room
- no HC today as the airer is full and I still haven't got an outdoor line
Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -

Morning all!
Have a busy day to get through today so here goes.....- Write 3 lessons - at the top of the list now (had an unplanned day of school/uni work yesterday - just couldn't be ar*ed)
- Do a bit more on standards file
- Go to Mr S for big shop armed with £9 worth of vouchers (most from Mr S - serves him right for giving them to me!)
- Do one load of washing and dry naturally
- Put dry washing away
- Get stuff ready for school tomorrow
- Try to have a NSD apart from the food shopping
- OH starting front garden tidy up today - we'll see how he gets on!
- Walk dog for free exercise (done one alraedy)
- Got hair cut and coloured yesterday and hairdresser charged me £6 less than normal as I only wanted my fringe trimmed instead of a full cut
- Clean bathrooms
- Went to see Clash of the Titans in 3D last night - definitely not worth the almost £20 in tickets! And had to suffer the indignity of looking like a cross between Deidre Barlow and Roy Orbison too with those daft 3D glasses!

Well done!!!!!
Once I list my ebay things I might have a bit of a jump around as well!!
Absolute proof writing lists does help!!
Stitchingwitch - I started to write one - a while back lots of folks on here were getting into the 101 things in 1001 days (SM, Andan, Pipsmum and many many more) - did you start a blog with your 101 list as well - (its how I keep up with SM etc now). Thanks for putting the link up!!
Rachel Laughing at crosses between deidrie and Dr Who/Austin Powers - sorry the movie wasn't good - I really fancied it. BTW I met a little dog that looked just like your avatar when I was walking in Inverness - so cute (but how on earth do you keep them clean??
Today
Well here's something I can't/don't say often - its so misty here I'm kind of glad to say that we'll probably stay at home (I always drag folks out for a walk when its nice as we just need to explore this island but when its misty and dry - can't see much so can get on with more things at home)
Check banks
PAD to DS savings
Remind OH gently that he owes me £50 for bathroom stuff when I was down decorating
Move some cash about and figure how to pay DS trip money (£302) and a payment to DD trip money £150 this week (? I'm thinking of that story about the seven loaves feeding the masses) BUT I don't htink the piggie banks will have 500 quid in them
More HC to do and hang up in airing cupboard
Lots more gardening today I think
Might see if I can hose out/clean the conservatory
Logs to chop with the upside down log choppy scary machine, so I will ask for some help from DS
Make sure kids have everything for tomorrow - back to school
Also take out sandwich making bits from freezer
Lodger mum making us a German meal tonight so free lovely yummy food
Put fire on to keep the lounge warm (used free chopped up wood)
Drop off samples for the oven at work on Sunday to get things started
Take field equipment back to work as I worked from home on Friday
Think about going out to new house again and take a load out if I do
Sort out a bit of Darwin and perhaps charge battery so I can drive him to the garage and get him fixed (might need a bit of help from DS to get battery out)
Start a list for freecycle of things in garage before we move
Clear out another cupboard and leave it ready for moving
Ask DD to hoover her room
Pack up amazon book sale £20 and CD £5
Check for more sales -and list more things from my inventory (sold another DVD for £5
)
List another 10 cd's on music magpie
Ebay things to sort out and take photos of today
Go around garden and dig up perennials to take to new house especially from veggie garden so I can get it rotivated
Email chum at work to ask to borrow rotivator
Bread/Milk out of freezer
Mow the front lawn (we've 6 other lawns here and one which is the size of a small football pitch so I'm working up to getting the big mower sorted and out of the garage but thankfully grass is just starting to wake up!!)
Turn pasta HM sauce into soup by adding stock/rice and some veggies
Do something fun

list has 3 things on it :o1. a remoska, 2. a giant weighted hula hoop to exercise when finally finish opaying for blimming gym I hardly ever go to... & 3. an ipod (will only get cheap one off ebay when debts are cleared). How sad I can't even dream of things I want to buy anymore! Although oh was talking about budism today and how they see "wanting" as suffering...
This reminded me of my red book where I wrote all the things I want to do in my life and I had a list of things to achive this year. I reviewed it and have already done/working towards loads of them.
Anway from my list yesterday, today I will:

Got to get organised today as I have been poorly for a few days. Felt awful on Thursday and even had to have the day off work on Friday
It was just that I caught OH's cold but did feel grotty, and it makes my asthma play up more than usual!
Still, feeling a bit better yesterday, and better still today
Finished main veg patch yesterday except for sowing parsnip seed (found I didn't have any) but not much else done, apart from HM meals. Even sent OH shopping  but he did come back with mainly what was on the list - not too many extras :rotfl:
Today I have / will:
Been to local car boot sale, and got 3 strawberry plants and a nice Tiffany style lampshade for the hall to replace the grotty dust collecting oneSpent £2.50 in total.
Took fleece stuff off tomato plants in greenhouse to let them see what sun there is
Sort house out later (it is a pit) Done
Go to garden centre to get garden bits Done
HM meals as usual Done
Make broccoli and stilton soup for work lunches Just done
Make a cake oops haven't got around to this
Walk dogs later OH did
Sowed parsnip and lettuce seed in garden, aubergines in a pot in the windowsill
Goodness what a big list - will get OH to help with all this lot :eek:
(seeing that it was *his* cold that put me all behind in the first place)

morning ladies! :j
Ok am starting to spend more and more time on the OS board (so much to learn and so many inspiring stories!), been reading the feed a family for a month for £40 thread - I thought I'd done well on £35 for a week yesterday, went to Approved Foods and did my first order. Am going to get £18 woth of meat (see if I can get it reduced - does anyone have the thread with times supermarkets reduce their foods? Tried a search but couldn't find it, would be very grateful) and then see if I can make that all last until the end of the month - would mean I'd spent £120 to feed 3 for a month (must not take oh shopping with me!!!) right am officially oldschool now!
Ok small list as intend to make the most of the day and not fritter it away on here- make banana bread with very ripe bananas nd nat yuogurt that should have been used ages ago (freeze for oh for week) realised I don't have nat yogurt so froze ripe banana until I do

Aren't we a busy bunch this morning?!
:D;)
I am so into the 101 things in 1001 days! Will check that out in a wee bit.
Stitching Witch - you'd be surprised how affordable a trip to the Great Wall can be! I went 5 years ago and did it through Charity Challenge - they have a sponsorship option where you pay the deposit to cover admin costs etc and, subject to you raising sponsorship, everything else is covered. Was so amazing. http://www.charitychallenge.com/expedition.html?id=1129
Determined - have you seen that they've changed the scrabble rules?!! They're now going to let you have proper nouns. There now might be a chance of me beating OH now it's easier!
Here's my list:- Put gammon in SC - trying Nigella's ham in cola recipe OMG, this is delicious! So easy too - gammon joint, onion and a glass of coca cola in the slow cooker, about £5 in total, left it all day, tastes delicious, will last both of us all week for lunches. mmmmm.
- Will put chicken pieces in the other SC in a bit Not quite as tasty as the ham but served it with cous cous and there's enough sauce and chicken left to have it with a baked spud later in the week
- Went to the corner shop for milk but 'forgot' to buy a paper
- Updated spending diary
- Put water on to do the dishes and will remember to turn it off!
- Do a little quick wash on 30 - need to wait till later so my clothes don't smell of food! (Another one of the joys of living in a small flat - last wash I did smelt of lasagne ....lovely) Just finished. Will hang it up overnight. Fingers crossed it doesn't smell like the ham!
- Some beautification is in order
These eyebrows must be plucked before the threading woman becomes too tempting to resist. £10 saved. Yay, £10 saved.
- Finish listing CDs Not done this but they stay on the site for 10 days. That'll give me time to decide which ones to put on Music Magpie and which ones to list on Amazon.
- Put some coppers in the jar
