I have an email template to send to people after 24 hours

Can you shoot us a quick message about the order you have bought?

Hey there. Apologies if you've received this message previously: Just making sure we got everyone. If you could complete checkout or message us about when payment will be made it'd be a big help.

We can't keep items reserved for more than 3 days after the auction ending and will be resold elsewhere : In the old-fashioned terms of fair play, if you pay fast you get your item fast. We can give you a call on your ebay phone number soon to check that everythings ok too.

Non-paying bidder warning are issued automatically by our system within 4 days so please let us tick you off the list and get your item to you super quick.

I realise that not everyone logs in everyday so don't worry just shoot us a message.

    Just Let us know!

    Cheers Thrifty x

Yep, you would get slammed on stars by me as well. Added to that I'd give you a non performing seller strike because you simply can't resell an item I have won in 3 days

Im amazed if you haven't been negged for that message yet.

In reply to the original question, no it's not enforcable for them to MAKE you pay in 24 hours, but if they've stated it in their listing then you really should abide by the 24 hours they have set, or at least send them a message before you win the auction to see if it's ok paying a bit later.

If it's in the listing then in my opinion the buyer should stand by the rules set by the seller or simply not bid and find another person selling the item.

No it still comes down to the basic question what is a seller going to do if a buyer doesn't pay within 24 hours as per the auction terms? If the answer to that is 'nothing' then take out the daft term entirely.

A good seller should know that ebay allows the buyer 4 days to pay, so if they don't agree with their T&C, then they can go and sell their goods elsewhere.

If everyone started making their own rules up on ebay, then it wouldn't work.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
