I work in a reference library where we are often asked for help in finding people. Try:

for some ideas. Hope something helps.

The quickest way for a parent to get a child's attention is to sit down and look comfortable.

Most important is to stick at it and to never give up. There is someone out there that knows something...the trick is finding them. It may take a long time to work out and may eventually come down to getting hold of the local phone book and making phone calls.

If you know the address your could also try directory enquiries to find a phone number. You may get a lot of butterflies about calling, but its a case of if you don't try, you'll never know.

My fiance was trying to find his daughter and it drove me mad for a month watching him agonise over this phone number. Eventually he called, and its all happiness and joy now. The number we called was that of his daughter's great grandmother.

Good luck to you in your search.
