Write to the company and say that Asda would not accept the coupon for all you bought the product. i have done this in the past with various companies and they have sent original coupons in an attempt for you to buy their products.

sometimes printed coupons are accepted, sometimes they are not. it depends on the sales assistant and the supermarket. i guess your husband was just unlucky today.

Dont bother printing coupons - hardly any stores accept them - Tesco dont.Ive never had a Asda accept them.

stick to manufacturers original coupons then you will get a % at Asda anything from 10 to 20%,

Tesco are different they accept them but it varies from store to store (manager discretion ) some accept a % others take however many you have as long as there is only 1 of each ( unless you buy product then you can use as many as you have got product for )
Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T

This is great nurse sue, enjoy!:j

Internet printed coupons can be a nightmare, so I never bother with these. However, I know that, at least in theory (according to their 'official' coupon policy), Tesco and Asda accept them, albeit this being at the store manager's discretion.

The only store that will take printed coupons for me is Waitrose - no luck with asda and tesco - so i would give waitrose a try - even though it is more expensive - they always have lots of reduced stuff through the day

  • The best bet is to produce good quality printed vouchers with clear scannable barcodes. I've never had any turned down and get half price Tesco shopping.
  • The self scan never seems to say no to me whether i use a original coupon or internet printed one ;)

  • I went to Tesco this evening, I haven't been for quite a while, and as usual went to the self scan. I put through my coupons and the SA came flying across and said that I could only use 10% and could he check my coupons that I had put through. They wouldn't accept any internet ones and really scruntinised my magazine ones. He called over managers to check and they said that the internet ones looked like photocopies and quizzed me to find out where I got them from. Needless to say I won't be going back to Tescos.
