Spot on advice.
I've been loitering on the GIOL Board for quite a while - took the time at Christmas to read and understand match betting - I've taken it nice and slowly over the last 4 months or so - now I've broken the £1500 barrier - tax-free, risk-free, not gambling, just maths, but nonetheless cold and hard cash.
Come on over and take a look Dudes....

Not exactly win of the century but made £48.50 profit in total so quite happy lol!! :T
Am sooooooo intereseted in match betting, but have not got the time to read over the information in the detail that is needed at the moment. I understand that it is something you really do need to get your head around and dedicate time to while you are learning about it. Hope to have a bit more spare time to look into over summer as I have spoke to a few people that have hit the 1k mark doing it. I would be over the moon with half that amount though!0 -

Yes it was a bit of a palava.
I did this with my OH to cover both bets. I didn't see in the intial post that the first bet (4 favourites) actually named the four horses it covered. This means that the winner of the race wasn't included in this bet option. You had to be on the second bet- any other horse in the race- to get anything back.
To get your winning, first of all, you have to register a credit card with Betfair and allow them to take a £2.00 withdrawal. This is to confirm you're over 18 (you can only get a credit card if you're 18+). However, credit card rules mean that you can't transfer more than you're original deposit back to a credit card, so you can only have the £2 you've just deposited put back onto your credit card.
To get you're money out, you have to register a debit card or use Paypal. I went for the debit card option. Like the credit card, you have to activiate this by making a deposit of £10 from the card. Once you've done this, you can transfer the whole £32 (£20 + £2 + £10) onto your debit card.
By the time I'd worked all this out yesterday, lots of bad words were being muttered at the screen!
Hope this has helped.0 -

I won the £20 too. No idea about placing bets but played on deal or no deal up to £25 then withdrew direct to my bank account. If you select the bank transfer option all you have to do is give your bank account details and it's done :-)0 -
